That was a complete waste of time.  They KNOW what people use CentOS for... and all of the caveats with using it (especially on desktop systems) that you mentioned.  The devs on this developer mailing list talk about... development stuff.

And BTW, they aren't responsible for making the decision and I assume don't have any input into it... so ranting at them isn't going to help at all.  There is an email address that was given that you can send such things to if desired: centos-questions at redhat.com
