It is a good idea to do your initial sync off a mirror other than the master first, so as not to burden the rsync master with the huge initial sync of largely static files that a closer mirror could serve. Refer to the note at https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/CreatePublicMirrors - “So for your first synchronization, you should use one of the external mirrors providing rsync access. You can find that list here: http://centos.org/download/mirrors/” On Thu, Aug 25, 2016 at 1:55 AM, chris <chris at nodeshosting.com> wrote: > HTTP: http://mirror.nodeshosting.com/centos/ > > Sync schedule: Every 4 hrsBandwidth: 1GBLocation: US / kansas city MOSponsor: nodeshostingSponsor URL: http://nodeshosting.comIPv4 address to authorize: 69.30.223.178IPv6 address to authorize: NAEmail contact: chris at nodeshosting.comMirroring AltArch : no > > > i'm not able to sync the " > > rsync -aqzH --delete msync.centos.org::CentOS /path/to/local/mirror/root > > " > > error as @ERROR: Unknown module 'CentOS' > > > i was told my server ip must registered first , please let me know once > it is registered , so i will sync the file. > > Thanks > > _______________________________________________ > CentOS-mirror mailing list > CentOS-mirror at centos.org > https://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos-mirror > > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
