You need to install amanda, amanda-client and amanda-server to get
the whole thing. Then you need to edit some files in /etc/amanda,
add some cron jobs to run it automatically, and enable the services
in /etc/inetd.d on the target machines.

You really only need one of amanda-server or amanda-client on each
machine depending on its role, but it doesn't hurt to have both.
