Maybe they are tightening up ACPI parsing to be more standards compliant... good 
thing in the long run, but too bad for older hardware. On a server I have, there 
are newer BIOSes available that fix ACPI parsing problems... but alas,  when I 
upgrade BIOS the agpgart hangs. I have not found a way to disable agpgart with a 
kernel parameter, it is a server with no agp anyway.
