What's the point in not putting it on all available drives?

I have a similar setup here on one machine and I like the fact that each disc 
is partitionied in exactly the same way and I could use each disc for booting 
if I swapped them around. The added redundancy is a nice bonus.

Sure it wastes some space. But hey, what are a few megabytes when you have 
hundreds of gigabytes on the data partition. It's just not worth to introduce 
additional complexity just to gain 400mb IMHO.
