Thanks for the response.

i followed your instructions and edited the local repo file under 
/etc/yum.repos.d by adding disabled=1 in the last

Rebooted the machine and tried to run yum again but this time too yum 
looked at local repo.Here is the output
[root at xbox X11]# yum install openo*

Please help me solve this,i'm using RHEL 5 []
