You will still be limited to a single primary server with DRBD. Here is a line from their site: DRBD's primary-primary mode with a shared disk file system (GFS, OCFS2). These systems are very sensitive to failures of the replication network. Sequoia only supports master-master operation if the database nodes are on the same subnet. We did not find anything else out there, so we wrote our own geographically distributed database system. We can adapt that to your project if you are interested.
