The current CentOS 5 kernel (CentOS 5.5: 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5) has
multiple LUN support enabled (this is the stock kernel):

sauron.deepsoft.com% grep LUN /boot/config-2.6.18-194.26.1.el5
CONFIG_PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY=y
# Some SCSI devices (e.g. CD jukebox) support multiple LUNs
CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN=y

Upgrading to 5.5 is probably a good idea anyway.
