CentOS is binary compatible to Red Hat Enterprise Linux, so it shares
the same minimum requirements.

So assuming a machine that old is 32-bit;

* RAM: 512MB minimum / 1 GB/logical CPU recommended

* Disk: 1GB minimum / 5GB recommended
