Hi, I am Interested to know more about ARM because I think it is a great piece of technology and wants to learn it by porting some RPMs to ARM (mostly RPMs related to container technology). I have a Rasberry pi 3 with me ( thanks to KB for that :) ). I have the mock setup in it ready now. However I could not find the arm config file for ARM in /etc/mock (I mean EL7 ARM config file) . Do I have to create one or we have standard config files hosted somewhere? Thanks, Lala

Hi, No I haven't tried to add a GPU. My motherboard is in a R120-P30 server which I will use as a test web server and/or virtualization server, and I haven't a GPU card at my disposal. Sorry. So far I tried nVidia 7800 GT (from Apple G5) and Radeon 290X. Although both are recognized by lspci, X fails to start. Also dmesg shows some ugly crashes. Unable to get X working on respberry pi centOs

I downloaded the raspberry pi 2 centOs image. It was supposed to support X. The minimal image did not contain X or a desktop. I tried to install X and was not successful. I then tried to install gnome desktop from the available yum groups. I got the error Java-1.7.0-openjdk-headless-1.7.0.95-2.6.4.0.el7.armu7hl (updates) Requires libations-headless-X11-2.0.so.0 I searched all available packages for this file and did not find one with the sources configured in the base image for yum libraries. How can I get X and a web browser run on the centOs respberry pi 2. I really would like gnome or kde. Hi Ronald, openSUSE installs without problem but as you already know the network is not working due to the fact that the xgene_enet is compiled as a module... I'm compiling an openSUSE kernel with this module statically linked and I will see whats happen next. But it's strange to see that the module is not working (lsmod shows 0 for the 'used' column, strange...). Gigabyte MP30-AR0

Hello all! I'm new to this mailing list, I found it while I was searching for some information about MP30-AR0/RP120-P30 Gigabyte server. I've follow with a lot of interest this thread and like Jeremiah (https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/arm-dev/2016-March/001745.html) I wanted to flash the Tianocore UEFI firmware with a USB or SD card. After having read the thread I've found that the flash procedure was like the U-Boot flash procedure described in the Gigabyte manual, so I tried to simply rename the mp30ar0_tianocore_media.img file to uboot_os.bin and try the flash as described with this command: 'run flash_uboot_os_img'. And that's worked! So to flash UEFI firmware instead of U-Boot you just need to rename the file and follow the manual :-) Now I can try to boot/install a Linux distribution (openSUSE first, sorry :-p and maybe CentOS after to test it). Grub2 delays and pxe timeouts on aarch64/arm64

There appears to be an upstream issue with grub2 and the uefi pxe implementation. This will cause exceptionally slow boot times for anyone using pxe on aarch64/arm64 systems(and in some cases x86_64 if I'm reading this right). We're working to see how this can best be addressed. It's possible that we may have to wait for the 'official' fix to come in the 7.3 sources, but if we can fix it sooner in a clean fashion we will. IRQ Balance memory leak

Hi, Monitoring a install op a RP2 noticed an memory leak. I’s seems to be caused by irq-balance, it is a known issue for rpi2. One of the cave cats of the pi (and many arm boards) is it is not capable of reasonable IRQ offloading. All hardware IRQ (the vast majority of IRQ’s) are always handled by cpu 0, Afaik IRQ-balance can’t do anything. My question is what is the motivation to include IRQ balance in the User land? BTW it could affect the Banana PI too http://forum.lemaker.org/thread-5512-1-1.html

Intro, and platforms

Hello. I am Lamar Owen, and I'm just beginning to dive into arm. I've developing a radio-frequency-interference (RFI) sniffer device using both the cheap RTL-SDR dongles as well as the Ettus Research USRP (older USRP1). I have several different arm SBC's to develop on, including some original RasPi model A's as well as a BeagleBone Black and a very new ODroid C2. I'm most excited about the ODroid C2, being a quad-core 2GHZ 64-bit processor and 2GB of RAM. Currently the C2 runs a very early Ubuntu 16.04, but I would love to pop C7 on the little beast. Is there specific information I can get from the Ubuntu install that would be useful for C7 purposes?

Missing packages/groups in armhfp repo

I just deployed the raspberry pi image for some testing and found a couple of rough edges with the armhfp port. Mock doesn't work out of the box; it'd be nice if it shipped with a working config file, but after having written one builds are failing because the @buildsys-build yum group is not available. I can probably work around this by specifying the list of packages needed for the buildroot manually, but I suspect that the group may not exist because some required packages are missing. I've confirmed that httpd-devel and apr-devel are not present in the repository; is this an oversight or is there a problem building them for arm?
