Borked deps

Hi, I started to build some stuff on my rpi3 with centos7 but got broken deps. Searched a bit and found https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1326871 which indeed fixed the problem. Could you please apply the patch to rpm to have this fixed? Note, you need to rebuild rpm with the patch applied, install it with --nodeps and then rebuild rpm a second time (of course). libpango from rpmfind

I need libpango for rrdtool, and libpango is OS specific. And I am not finding it at all in https://armv7.dev.centos.org/repodir/epel-pass-1/ But rpmfind found: ftp://195.220.108.108/linux/mageia/distrib/cauldron/armv7hl/media/core/release/libpango1.0_0-1.40.3-3.mga6.armv7hl.rpm Can I 'safely' use it? I also need libpangocairo.

/boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf still needs to be hand edited. I will update my howto.

Looking for PI3 version that can do X windows

Is there a version of CentOS for arm on the PI3 that does X windows? I tried the armv7hl for PI3 - but X windows does not come up. Thanks Jerry

Yum update problem with package in repo updates

I just tried a 'yum update' in a server which was current as a few days ago. Looks like some updates got pushed out, but with an error: --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: firewalld-0.4.3.2-8.1.el7_3.noarch (updates) Requires: python-firewall = 0.4.3.2-8.1.el7_3 Installed: python-firewall-0.4.3.2-8.el7.noarch (@centos-base_rbf) python-firewall = 0.4.3.2-8.el7 So I tried: yum update --exclude=firewalld Error: Package: firewalld-0.4.3.2-8.el7.noarch (@centos-base_rbf) Requires: firewalld-filesystem = 0.4.3.2-8.el7 Removing: firewalld-filesystem-0.4.3.2-8.el7.noarch (@centos-base_rbf) firewalld-filesystem = 0.4.3.2-8.el7 Updated By: firewalld-filesystem-0.4.3.2-8.1.el7_3.noarch (updates) firewalld-filesystem = 0.4.3.2-8.1.el7_3 Then I tried: yum update --exclude=firewalld --exclude=firewalld-filesystem That worked. Progress on C7-armv7

I switched medon.htt-consult.com to another Cubieboard2; I took one of my test systems (which was off anyway, the middle one of the tower), put the C7 uboot mSD and HD, and booted up. I also switched over to the new kernel. So far it has been up for 6 hours, longer than before. We will see how it goes. I have set up a DNS server and letting it 'sit' for 24 hours to test for stability (not crashing). This is an internal DNS server (rigel.htt-consult.com). If all is well tomorrow I will put it into production, and start on migrating the production DNS server (onlo.htt-consult.com). And I have to learn how to config DNSSEC... I am holding off on any more work on the mailserver replacement (z9m9z.htt-consult.com) until my one epel dependency is fixed. The delay 'buys' me some time to figure out if I will buy a Cubie5 (4 core) for the new server. avmavis regularly eats up 2 core on my current RSEL6 mailserver. So progress. Thanks for the code to make this possible.

xfs_growfs step in disk image readme

And u-boot is far more powerful in terms of features.

Does anybody know if there is such a thing as a recent u-boot with loadefi command for the Gigabyte MP30-AR0? It'd be really handy to be able to bypass Tianocore EFI firmware. TIA. Gordan

Updates for CentOS on Arm

Hi there, in the last time the were a few updates for my workstation running CentOS 7 for x86_64, but I can't see any update for armv7hl. Last one was 2016-12-14. Is this correct? Is there a plan to bring the updates to armv7hl? Thanks Andreas
