Gigabyte MP30-AR0

Hi, I am toying with the idea of getting a Gigabyte MP30-AR0 board (despite the insanely exorbitant price tag). Has anyone got the aarch64 CentOS working on one of those? Any special instructions? Also, if I get the ISO, is it bootable on aarch64? Does the installer work? Or does the image have to be used like on 32-bit ARM? Thanks. Gordan

Request for a new package: raspberrypi-vc

Hello, Following the Fabian Arrotin recommendation, I open here the request to include the 'raspberrypi-vc' package into the CentOS 7 EPEL repository, or in the main tree. This package includes a command called 'vcgencmd' which offers a set of interesting values of the Raspberry Pi board; e.g. its temperature. Check here <http://www.elinux.org/RPI_vcgencmd_usage> for more information. I've downloaded the SRPM package from here <http://www.squeezecommunity.org/repo/fedora/24/pi/SRPMS/raspberrypi-vc-2016…>, and I realized that it was pretty easy to build on a full-updated CentOS 7 (kernel 4.4.14-v7). Proposal regarding aarch64 images

Now that SolidRun is ramping up our Armada 8040 line I have had more initiative to start testing various distros. There is an active effort to bring full UEFI support to the 8040 platforms however this is still a WIP. In the meantime I was looking into u-boot's efi loader and currently there is major hurdle with using this boot method on the CentOS images...the /boot partition is formatted as xfs. Of course it would be easy enough to spin a new image with /boot formatted as ext4. Is there any reason not to make the default images use this configuration? This would obviously be one less hurdle for using CentOS aarch64 on more platforms. Thanks, Jon

Enabling by default our "Epel rebuild" repo by default on CentOS 7 armhfp

Hi guys, A trend I see either on twitter, or irc, or elsewhere is a complaint about Epel not available for CentOS 7 userland on armhfp. It's of course technically true (as there is nothing listed on the Epel wiki page itself) but we covered that FAQ in our wiki : https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/AltArch/Arm32#head-f2a772703b3… Unfortunately, it seems that people never read that wiki page. So I was just wondering if we could have our epel rebuild effort (https://armv7.dev.centos.org/repodir/epel-pass-1/) available directly for our armhfp users, without having them to do anything special. Now I'm wondering if we should just create a .repo (and coming from centos-userland-release) but have it disabled by default (imho) or even enable it by default (-1 on my side) Also, we should probably just rename it to something else than 'Epel' as we can't call that epel : it's a rebuild from Epel SRPMs but it's not Epel Opinions, Thoughts ? please make hear your voice ! Rebasing the Qualcomm QDF2400 Networking Patch

Hi folks, Attached is a rebase of a patch submitted to arm-dev that adds support for the networking devices in the QDF2400. It appears that this patch didn't make it into the previous build of the ARM kernel. This patch should apply to HEAD on https://git.centos.org/log/sig-altarch!kernel.git/sig-altarch7-aarch64 Any chance we can get this built and included in a set of install media soon? This patch mentions a lack of hardware for testing the option CONFIG_NET_VENDOR_QUALCOMM, how would we test this? Cheers! -- Brian Stinson
