Gigabyte MP30-AR0

Hi, I am toying with the idea of getting a Gigabyte MP30-AR0 board (despite the insanely exorbitant price tag). Has anyone got the aarch64 CentOS working on one of those? Any special instructions? Also, if I get the ISO, is it bootable on aarch64? Does the installer work? Or does the image have to be used like on 32-bit ARM? Thanks. Gordan

centos 7 64 bit on raspberry Pi 3

Hello, I was wondering if there is a procedure for installing Centos 7 on the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ while installing Centos 7.5 on armhfp is very clear and documented given that a raw root image is provided and you just "dd" it on the memory card, it is not clear to me how to do it with aarch64. A ISO image is provided but how to install it on the raspberry ? thank you Rick

Ok, I see this epel-release in the epel1 repo that I installed via the wiki. So I decide to install it, and it created an epel.repo.rpmnew file. I swicth around the files and try a 'yum update' and get: epel/armhfp/metalink | 47 kB 00:00 Could not parse metalink https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=epel-7&arch=armhfp error was No repomd file One of the configured repositories failed (Unknown), and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this: .... File /var/cache/yum/armhfp/7/epel/metalink.xml does not exist So I put everything back.

Hi Jim, It's been a while, since I sent the patch. Any objections about merging? Is v4.11 kernel still a valid baseline or for the next releases or we should use v4.14? When is that transition and next release supposed to happen? Different issues with "DTOVERLAY".

Hello, Small issues, today, with dtoverlay gpio-shutdown/poweroff [root@mypi ~]# dtoverlay gpio-shutdown su: user pi does not exist * Failed to apply overlay '1_gpio-shutdown' (kernel) su: user pi does not exist [root@mypi ~]# dtoverlay gpio-poweroff su: user pi does not exist su: user pi does not exist [root@mypi ~]# Even if I add a fake user "PI", this does not work better. Chrooting/Docker to armv7hl and armv5tel on aarch64

It's been so long since I last had to do this, that it looks like a kernel update somewhere along the way broke this for me. :-( What happens now: # chroot rs7 chroot: failed to run command ‘/bin/bash’: Exec format error I could have sworn that this was all I needed to make this work last time: # grep 4K_PAGES config-4.9.153-1.el7.centos.aarch64 CONFIG_ARM64_4K_PAGES=y # CONFIG_ARM64_64K_PAGES is not set Unfortunately, now trying to chroot into either hard-float or soft-float chroot results in the exec format error. Looking at time stamps of various things, I had this working with 4.4.70, but have since switched to 4.9.x kernels. Any thoughts on what changed between 4.4 and 4.9 would be most appreciated. What am I missing?

How to get uboot information

Is there a command that gets me the uboot information I see displayed on the serial console at boot time. For example: U-Boot SPL 2016.09.01 (Oct 19 2016 - 13:46:44) and U-Boot 2016.09.01 (Oct 19 2016 - 13:46:44 +0000) Allwinner Technology thanks

Problems installing yum-utils on one system

I have yum-utils on two systems, but for some reason, it has dependency issues on another. How to enable i2c

Hi, I've added the following parameters to /boot/cmdline.txt i2c_arm=on i2c1=on i2c0=on but I get no /dev/i2c* entries, but dmesg shows i2c /dev entries driver What am I missing ? Thanks Phil

Odroid HC1 working with 1810 image
