Since we have an installer and images for Aarch64, the best thing to do there would be to trial that on the pine64 board, and take it from there. The 4.2 kernel should work, I dont know about the bootloader process, but with some luck its going to uefi by default (not asking for much are we ? )

Thanks for this - I'll try and find some time this week to look at this more closely. I have the allwinner A64 sdk and have yet to go through the Pine64 github repo.
