Does qemu name the device and partitions differently? Perhaps it gives it a /dev/sdx name? Such as my pi uses /dev/mmcblk0, but the SD card in my x86_64 will show up as /dev/sdb

The CentOS kernel and initramfs however is not able to find the root partition . It waits forever, gets stuck here http://pastebin.com/EUeBvcKD
Eventually it dropped to the emergency shell with an warning saying "Warning: /dev/mmcblk0p3 does not exist". Here are the boot messages http://pastebin.com/VdRYNxAW
The mmc_block kernel module is present. I am wondering why the kernel and initramfs works on the Cubietruck3 but not in Qemu. Any suggestions?
