centos 5 GUI disable update agent upper right

How do I disable the update agent in the upper right corner on centos 5? I am looking for a command line way to do this. I know I can right click on it and select quit. THanks, Jerry

par2cmdline make errors centos 5

I am using centos 5 x86_64 and trying to install par2cmdline everything goes fine but fails on the make, any one have any suggestions on where to start I would appreciate, I am using a minimal install and going from there. My goal was to install backupPc to start backing up my machines when I ran into theis problem. Thanks in advanced.

centos5: Kopete and ICQ broken

Hi, Kopete does not show any contact in ICQ... Will there be fixes for this? Or do I have to wait for kde-redhat to support centos5? Thx Rainer

openmotif-devel 32 bit libs on x86_64

Hello All. I'm trying to compile some oracle stuff on Centos 4.4 x86_64 and I think I need 32-bit motif devels (getting some errors about incompatible libraries) Anyone know where I can get those? Screensaver flashing instead of normal function

I rebooted my machine this morning and now instead of running normally, my GLMatrix screen saver flashes as it repaints the screen, more and more noticeably as the screen fills up with glyphs. I didn't change ANYTHING and this was not happening before the boot. Anyone have any ideas why this might be? Thanks. I have been using atrpms repository with much success installing the latest NVIDIA drivers and other stable software, both in CentOS 5 and SL 4. Currently in my CentOS 5.0 box I have installed these from atrpms: [john@localhost download]$ rpm -qa |grep nvidia nvidia-graphics-devices-1.0-5.el5.at nvidia-graphics9755-devel-1.0_9755-86.el5.at nvidia-graphics9755-kmdl-2.6.18-8.1.1.el5-1.0_9755-86.el5.at nvidia-graphics9755-1.0_9755-86.el5.at nvidia-graphics-helpers-0.0.18-19.el5.at nvidia-graphics9755-kmdl-2.6.18-8.el5-1.0_9755-86.el5.at nvidia-graphics9755-libs-1.0_9755-86.el5.at [john@localhost download]$
