Apache in chroot reporting every client is 16.0.0.0

Not sure where to start on this. I went to examine a log file today and noticed a password protected internal file was being accessed from 16.0.0.0. Upon further review every log entry has the same IP. Accessing apache from localhost also reports 16.0.0.0. Google is not being my friend right now, any advice? Centos 5.5 mmap.c and mmap hints

Good morning, We are trying to figure out how to properly provide adresss hints to mmap on 32-bit Centos 5.5. Does any documentation exist about to how to provide address hints to mmap on 32-bit Centos 5.5? If so, where can we find this documentation. In order to understand mmap better, we decided to try to find the Centos 5.5 source code for mmap.c. We already installed the kernel source code using the following commands : # cd /tmp # wget ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/enterprise/5Server/en/os/SRPMS/kernel… # rpm -ivh kernel-2.6.18-8.1.8.el5.src.rpm However, we can't find the source code for the functions: void *mmap(void *start, size_t length, int prot, int flags, int fd, off_t offset); and int munmap(void *start, size_t length); Where could we obtain the source code for the system function: void *mmap(void *start, size_t length, int prot, int flags, int fd, off_t offset)? ApacheDS vs OpenLDAP

Hi all, Wondering if any of you have thoughts/experiences with ApacheDS? We've all had trials and tribulations regarding OpenLDAP and while its basically working pretty well in a master/slave relationship, ApacheDS claims more robust replication, etc... Granted I am working with the version bundled with CentOS, I do understand that the latest OpenLDAP is wayyyyyyy betterrrr :) - Aurf

dovecot sieve rpm?

Hello, Does anyone have a repo or have a dovecot 1.2 and dovecot sieve rpm, also a postfix 2.5 or 2.6 rpm? I saw some on a repo called atrpms, but it has dependency issues, and I read that that repo is dangerous. Thanks. Dave.

Modify Parameters at system boot

Hi all. i'm trying to modify some parameters but when system reboots it doesn't load. For the sysctl if I run sysctl -p then it changes /etc/sysctl.conf net.ipv4.netfilter.ip_conntrack_max = 1048576 /etc/modprobe.conf options ip_conntrack hashsize=131072 after reboot results cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_conntrack_max 65536 cat /sys/module/nf_conntrack/parameters/hashsize 16384 expected results cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_conntrack_max 1048576 cat /sys/module/nf_conntrack/parameters/hashsize 131072 Fred -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

Obscure behavior with filesystem update

I've been getting weird results with the recent filesystem update. It appears to be hanging at the transaction test stage endlessly. I can close the ssh connection and the update still goes on. When I use screen I cannot reattach after logout because the screen still shows as attached and I have to use -D -RR to get back to it. Sometimes it succeeds eventually after half an hour, sometimes not. Those that didn't I have been able to get finalized with screen. An strace shows an endless loop thru the man directory from a-z and then starting again, like this: stat64("/usr/share/man/aa", 0xbfc82584) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory) Anyone else seeing this? Also, there is weird behavior concerning the list of available updates. Yesterday I had a few servers that didn't show apr, filesystem and mysql as updates although all were using the same mirror (mirror.atrpms.net). Today they have shown up. Is it possible this is a problem created by "mirroring a mirror"? e.g. mirror.atrpms.net having its own mirrors that were at different stages of update? Kai
