oom situation

I have continous oom&panic situation unresolved. I am not sure system fills up all the ram (36GB). Why this system triggered this oom situation? Is it about some other memory? highmem? lowmem? stack size? Dear All I learned to clone my disk as the following : #dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb As far as I have understood, there is another gui-based utility named clonezilla that can do the same. If I am correct, please let me know how can I install clonezilla on my centos machine to try cloning my disk? Thank you

Alle, After upgrading from 6.4 to 6.5, our serial console configuration non longer work. Centos 6.5 Unable to start wireless

Made a minimal install, then added Gnome, etc, etc, now I have a full running system but: on the laptop I have a Broadcom BMC4311 that is not seen from system even if driver seems (b43) to be loaded If I connect an USB dongle with RLT8187 (high power dongle) I see also Broadcom BCM 4311 (high power dongle is working on another system):I guess tha USB port power is too low to make dongle work In any case I get the message that wireless is disabled. CentOS & eclipse

I'm running an up-to-date CentOS 6.5 and I wanted to install eclipse so I went to System->Adminitration->Add/Remove Software and installed eclipse-cdt-1:7.0.1-4.el6 and a bunch of dependent packages. >From the eclipse help menu I see that this is version 3.6.1. According to wikipedia this is a eclipse Helios which was released in June of 2010. My question is why is this so far out of date? My understanding was that CentOS was generally about a year out-of-date. I must confess that I don't know where I got that idea from and it is no doubt, wrong but 3 1/2 years out-of-date seems excessive. Is it just a packaging issue and whoever makes the RPMs hasn't made a new one? If I try to check for updates from inside eclipse, I get various failures for non-existant sites and dependency conflicts. Can anyone explain the situation and maybe shed some light on the history of how we got to this point. >From what I have read so far the solution is to ignore the rpms and install from the eclipse site. CentOS6 CR repo - depsolving problem

All, Has anyone else had a problem with the CR repo on a 6.4 or 6.5 system? I have a test VM that has the CentOS6 CR repo enabled and it recently (well a week or so) started having dependency problems. It's choking on dependencies for ca-cerfificates. Obviously there aren't any CR packages yet for 6.5 so a zero package count and empty directory on the mirror [0] are legitimate. But should the depsolving problems be the expected behavior? Raid on Intel R1304BB4DC

I'm trying to install 6.5 on this server. I can't get past the RAID. CentOS doesn't recognize my 4ea 1tb drives. I don't find a way to bypass the Intel RAID to use software RAID. Suggestions? Norm
