Raid on Intel R1304BB4DC

I'm trying to install 6.5 on this server. I can't get past the RAID. CentOS doesn't recognize my 4ea 1tb drives. I don't find a way to bypass the Intel RAID to use software RAID. Suggestions? Norm

Can any expert tell me, or give me any tutorial link? How can I Set Up Postfix Autoresponder for my email account? I am new in Linux & Now I am using CentOS 6.5 x64

New thunderbird and ligntning on CentOS 5...

Hey, anybody found a way to run the new Thunderbird Lightning calendar addon on CentOS 5...? From my debugging, it seems like the lightning addon is compiled with a newer version of glibc... Failed to load native module at path '.../Linux_x86-gcc3/libcalbasecomps.so': (80004005) /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found Tried older versions, 2.6 and 2.5b2, but they seem not compatible with TB 24: Failed to load native module at path '.../Linux_x86-gcc3/libcalbasecomps.so': (80004005) /usr/lib/thunderbird/libxul.so: version `xul23.0' not found I guess I need to reinstall my worsktation to CentOS 6 soon... Remove/deactivate the session and language buttons in login screen

Hi All, I'm using centOS 6.4 with openbox as windows manager. I modified /etc/X11/xinit/Xsession file in orden to set up openbox as default windows manager for all users (I changed gnome-session to openbox-session). Now, I would like to remove or deactivate the the session and language button in login screen. I tried to find these using gconf-editor but without any luck. I could change the banner text message and disabled user list but nothing for the other buttons. Any clue how can I accomplish this? Thanks in advance!

Does LibreOffice need to be patched to remove upstream "supplied by" text?

I just noticed that if I click "Help / About" in LibreOffice Writer (and likely other LibreOffice apps), I see: This release was supplied by Red Hat, Inc. Copyright (C) 2000 - 2013 LibreOffice contributors and/or their affiliates LibreOffice was based on OpenOffice.org I know several packages are patched to remove ambiguity as to who supplied the package; should this be one of them? thanks, Greg

quota and selinux on centos 6.5

Hi, I'm facing a challenge with selinux and because I don't got an explanation elsewhere, I'm trying to explain here. I have decided to mount /var/spool/cron on a separate partition and apply quota for regular users. But quotacheck replyes with a "permission denied" . quotacheck: Cannot create new quotafile /var/spool/cron/aquota.user.new: Permission denied quotacheck: Cannot initialize IO on new quotafile: Permission denied Indeed, files in that directory has a context witch denies quotacheck process to write files. To became suitable fo quota, those files (aquota.user and aquota.group) must have quota_db_t type(in context). If I use restorecon /var/spool/cron/aquota.user , it reports that is no default context for that file.
