How to search in mailing list

Hi folks, I want to search the CentOS mailing list(s) for how to upgrade from PHP 5.3.3 to 5.4 (or higher) on CentOS 6.7. From "CentOS Mailing Lists and Posting Guidelines" I can see "All public mailing lists are archived and those archives are searchable - there's a search box in the upper left corner on each of the lists listinfo page." Then after opening http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos (which from my understanding is the "listinfo page") I don't see any search functionality. Just to be sure I followed to the CentOS archieves at http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/ which as well doesn't contain any search functionality. Can please someone point me to where I can search the CentOS mailing list? Regards, Meikel

CentOS7 KDE - post-boot splash screen

Hello List Members, I decided to install C7 KDE on a workstation for a friend of mine. Works great, but the post-boot KDE splash screen (light blue and has 3 or more up ^ arrows that move from the lower center upwards) is a bit of a frustration for that person. I've determined that one can press the Escape key and move from that bluish splash to the login screen. (And at one point rolling the wheel on the mouse worked too, but didn't consistently cause the transition from splash to login screen.) At this point I think it's more ideal to just disable the splash screen and instead have the system go straight to the login screen (where user names are listed). Can that be done? camgirl spam on the list

Hey guys, I just noticed this recently in my latest posts to the list. But I've noticed that every time I mail the list for some advice, I get hit with spam from a camgirl site like every other message. Kinda funny actually. But also annoying!! CentOS 7.1 NFS Client Issues - rpc.statd / rpcbind

I have seen some talk about this but have not seen any answers. I know this is a problem on CentOS 7.1 and I also think it is a problem on CentOS 7.0. Basically if I have an NFS client only config - meaning that the nfs-server.service is not enabled then I have to wait 60 seconds after boot for the 1st NFSV3 mount to succeed. What I can surmise is the following. I attempt to perform a NFS mount a newly booted machine and systemd via listening sockets (1) starts rpc.statd (fails) (2) starts rpcbind (3) rpc.statd timesout after 60 seconds and then starts sucessfully (3) performs the nfs mount I see that rpc.statd is attempted to start at the time that I perform the mount request - it just takes 60 seconds to start. I think this is because it tries to start before rpcbind is really stated and then waits a full 60 seconds before retying. It then succeeds because rpcbind is really started I can fix the delay by running 'systemctl start rpcbind' after I reboot which causes rpcbind to start and not just be socket activated. I see in the systemd manifest for rpc-statd that it does require rpcbind but I think systemd is trying to start rpc.statd before rpcbind which makes sense that this would not work. [OFFTOPIC] integrated LSI 3008 :: number of hdd support

Hi guys! Unfortunately there is no offtopic list but the subject is somehow related to centos as the OS is/will be centos :) So, under this thin cover i ask : Is it possible that for a SAS controler like LSI 3008 that in specs says that : "This high-performance I/O controller supports T-10 data protection model and optical support, PCIe hot plugging, and up to 1,000 connected devices" in a vendor implementation (motherboard integrated) to support only 8 (or 16) devices? The technical support from the OEM told me that "the onboard SAS controller maximum amount of supported harddrives is 16pcs" and "if you are planning on using more than 16 drives then you have to use a PCI-E card based SAS controller with external ports (which Supermicro does not sell)" and both statements sound insane to me! First, because the specs for 3008 says something else and i dont know how one can artificially reduce the number of supported hdds (beside the firmware - but why would one do that?) and the second statement is just hogwash as the externl/internal status of the ports have nothing to do with the sas cascading and the number of devices supported!! (and of course is really cheap to convert an internal port to an external port with a bracket) So, i ask you guys that have more knowledge and expertise: was this Senior Application Engineer that answered me a total incompetent? When building packages in mock lately I see this a lot: error: Macro %py2_install has unterminated body Only started within last month, as far as I can tell the build actually finishes just fine. cause?

In consequence of this thread I went looking for a probe script that would send individualized email messages to each subscriber of a mailman list and found none. Does such a thing in fact exist? apache mysterious 404 error

Hey guys, Just have a question about apache. Hoping to get an opinion on this. I've just setup a site under apache 2.4. And made sure that the document root setup in the vhost for the site I'm serving has permissions for the apache user. Yet some of the files are throwing a 404 error in a browser even tho they are clearly present and accounted for on the file system.
