Firefox distorted printing

Hi, I am running a fully updated CentOS 4 box. Since the last few rounds of updates - upgrading to the latest Firefox, I find that I can not print Bank statements etc ( .ps files when saved to disk). The Bank's logo and any lines on the form print OK but the actual content is distorted beyond recognition - printing a series of special characters (!"$%&#'(") instead of transaction descriptions or amounts. Has anyone else experienced this or have a suggestion on how to fix the problem. Other preformatted documents like supplier invoices are also not printed as well formatted as before (html documents) but appear all squashed up instead of filling the page vertically. TIA ChrisG

how to set term environment for cronjobs?

Hi, I'm running a crontjob on CentOS 5.2 server, which then connects to a webpage to run some stuff. It has to run this way, since the webpage is on a Windows server, and the Windows scheduled tasks doesn't work as well. It seems like the cronjob is working fine, except that the email output worries me a bit. This is what I get on email, Your Terminal type is unknown! I need to replicate MySQL DB of mulltiple server on SiteA to my DR-Site Site_B... all DB are alocated on RHEL,SuSE,Centos,Debian, FreeBSD servers. question about software Raid 1

Does software raid 1 compare checksums or otherwise verify that the same bits are coming from both disks during reads? What I'm interested in, is whether bit errors that were somehow undetected by the hardware would be detected by the raid 1 software. Thanks, Nataraj

setting timezone from kickstart

Hi all, I used to do manual installs so I would set the timezone each time. I have now migrated to kickstart and I wish to use a command line (at boot) parameter to set the needed timezone. I am familiar with timeconfig and that works. I tried timeconfig --help (looking for command line arguments) and there appears to not be a command line way that I see to set the timezone. I have seen mention of changing symbolic links and stuff - but I was hoping for a system command to change the timezone. Like "timeconfig --zone Denver" or "timeconfig --zone Mountain" something like that. Is there something like that or do I have to use the symbolic links? Thanks, Jerry

Trying to use CentOS 5.2 to make a WAN Router

I have a CIDR block of IP addresses that I need to pass through to a WAN. I am trying to have a CentOS 5.2 basic install with 2 NICs be the router/gateway between the WAN and the public IP CIDR block. Has anyone done this? Other than turning on IP forwarding what did you have to do?
