Changing php5 with php4 in CentOS 5

Hi, In our server CentOS 5 is installed. Some of our web pages are compatible with php4 but in centOS 5 , php5 is installed and we cannot see our pages. I want to remove php5 and install php4 but i could not find php4 rpm for CentOS 5. Can anybody help me? Thanks Can Çizer

extras and vlc

What are the chances that a package such as vlc from http://videolan.org/vlc would become included in extras? so a yum install vlc would work. Thanks, Jerry

mdadm exim mysql

I installed a CentOS-5 core OS (using --nobase in my kickstart). For some reason, it included mysql-5.0.22. When I do "yum remove mysql", it says it will also remove exim and mdadm for dependencies. I don't care that exim will be removed, but I need mdadm as I'm doing software RAID. But why are these even related? When I do: rpm -q --requires mysql neither exim or mdadm is listed as being a requirement. johnn

disabling php-cli

Hi All, Don't know if this has been covered already, but I'd like to know if there's a way to disable one of the features in php; php-cli. I've done some googling and searching through the archives but haven't found anything. The php manpage doesn't mentioned anything, nor have I seen anything on the php site in regards to this. (hoping it's not something as simple as removing the php-cli rpm, although that just might break a dependency... Obviously, the lesspipe.sh script can be extended to do other things. All this is basically in the less man page, of course. fcpci from atrpm-repop and CentOS5-Plus-kernel

Hi Folks, I have to setup a new server with a fritz-pci-ISDN-card inside. For it the fcpci-Packages from atrpm-repo is needed. Trying to install this package on a machine with the newest CentOS5-Plus Kernel I get an error message Missing Dependency: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.18-8.1.14.el5 is needed by package fcpci-kmdl-2.6.18-8.1.14.el5 Okay -I have a vmlinuz-2.6.18-8.1.14.el5.centos.plus. Any hints to solve this problem???? Thx Timothy

Hi , I am looking for squid-2.6 RPM for CentOS 4.5. I googled. But, No squid 2.6rpm was found yet. R u rinning squid 2.6 RPM on CentOS 4.x? if so pls let me know. I downloaded this squid-2.6.STABLE6-4.el5 .src.rpm from below link. http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/updates/SRPMS/ Is it okay to build and installed on PRODUCTION servers? NIS problems

I've got a RHEL5 server acting as a NIS/NFS server, and connected one C5 machine just fine. I'm trying to connect another, and for the life of me, cannot figure out why NIS won't bind. NFS works fine. ypbind just hangs. I disabled SELinux and the firewall. I just cannot get it to bind. Ideas? Thanks. Scott
