PHP help required

Dear all Salam!!! i am using php+mysql for jffnms. i installed php myadmin for mysql administration. after login to phpmyadmin it says mbstring missing..... i search the yum has php-mbstring.... but when i install it using yum it says: php 4.3.9 update php-snmp update My question is if install php-mbstring, will php be effected and shows abnormal behaviour to jffnms???? Silly question - Anything faster than rm?

Maybe this is a silly question, but i have a few million files i need to delete but i can't just reformat the volume. Right now the fastest thing i can think of is nice -20 rm -Rf /folder-i-want-to-delete is there a better or faster way to do this? Thanks, Jamie

mysql and windows

CentOS 5.0 x86 provides mysql for free. However I couldn't find a free version of mysql for windows. Isn't there any for windows?

I seem to be having a problem with all of my CentOS5 machines, which do not seem to be a problem with CentOS4.4: [garron@MailScanner ~]$ telnet www.debtbusterloans.com 80 Trying 87.86.7.52... So far, I've been able to narrow down that this is only happening on my CentOS5 machines and not CentOS4.4Server installations. Could anyone please advise? I have several RHEL AS 4 systems, and when we get a vmcore, I would like to view them in my centos box.. How can I do that? Is that even possible? Thanks!

Help with Dell Latitude, CentOS 5, and intel 3945abg wireless

I've visited several web pages, including Dell's, for help in getting the wireless card activated. lspci shows it, but iwconfig doesn't list it. I also visited linux.dell.com and downloaded and installed the 64-bit Fedora 7 RPMs, but couldn't get anywhere. dellwirelessctl also doesn't show up anywhere. I'm running a fully updated kernel/distro. What am I missing? Thanks. Scott
