Thunderbird Upgraded from 1.0.8 to 1.5.0.4 and MOZ_NO_REMOTE dead

Since Centos 4.3 comes with Thunderbird 1.0.8, I downloaded the tar of 1.5.0.4 fro mozilla and tried to figure out what to do with it. per http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/releases/1.5.0.4.html#install I was just suppose to copy the files.... In the end I put it in /usr/lib/thunderbird I am NOT a Linux guy so could not figure out how to properly replace /usr/lib/thunderbird-1.0.8 and /usr/bin/thunderbird... So I setup the following script, acct1mail: set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird -profile ~/data/acct1/Mail & set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=0 and acct2mail set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird -profile ~/data/acct2/Mail & set MOZ_NO_REMOTE=0 In 1.0.8, running these two scripts (mozilla-thunderbird -profile ...)and have two copies of Thunderbird running. with 1.5.4 the second script gets: Warning: unrecognized command line flag -profile And focus returns to the running copy for acct1. Advice?

I will install CentOS 4.3 and downloaded the driver disk from Dell for RedHat Enterprise Linux 4: Description: Dell PowerEdge RAID Controller 5 Device Driver for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0, X86 & X86_64 I saw a few minutes ago that the driver disk is extracted within /tmp/ramfs/DD-01. Therfore I know that the network is working correct. If you want to see which modules are included in modules.cgz, just explode it (gzip -d -c /media/floppy/modules.cgz | cpio -i -d) somewhere (in /tmp for example) and compare the kernel modules version. step by step :-) I booted now with 'linux dd=nfs:<ip>:<path> nostorage nousb ksdevice=eth0' nostorage to disable probing for the SAS-devices and nousb to keep my keyboard working. This works nearly perfect: anaconda loads the driver disk and shows me the text of the file 'modinfo' within the devices list (LSI Logic megaraid_sas Driver ver v00.00.02.03). But when I try to load the driver I can see on the second console (alt+F2) that he can't find the kernel module. Is the installer not able to copy the contents of the disk-image into a specific directory? What is happening when anaconda is loading the disk? help for creating sendmail virtual users

hey friends, I have installed sendmail or it would rather say it comes default with the centos. I am using Centos4.0 and I am trying to configure sendmail with virtual users. I have created few users for my domain. My internal domain (example.com) is different from my isp domain (example1.com) The problem I am facing is that if the user1(a)example1.com sends the mail to the user2(a)example1.com then the mails should not go to the ISP rather the server running sendmail should send it to the mailbox of the user2(a)example1.com but rather it is sending it to the ISP account and from there it is getting redirected to ther user2 mailbox. I have configured the virtualusertable like this user1(a)example1.com user1(local account) user2(a)example.com user2(local account) makemap hash virtualusertable.db < virtualusertable service sendmail reload/restart. Now if the mail for the user2 from the user1 the sendmail should forward it to the user2 mailbox but this is not happening rather sendmail is forwarding it to the ISP server and from there it is gettting move to the user2 mailbox. Second problem I am facing is that how do I configured sendmail to the send the credentials of each user to the ISP account. For example if user1 wants to send the mail to the Internet the sendmail server should connect to ther ISP server with this user credentails (username and password ) and if user2 wants to send the mail to ther Internet then the sendmail should connect to the ISP server with the user2 credentails ( username and password). I have about 25 user accounts and I using sendmail 8.1.13 version. Please let me know if you need any further inputs. Thanks & Regards Ankush Grover

libmysqlclient.so.14(libmysqlclient_14)(64bit)

Hi, I'm trying to update a c4 x86_64 system. This fails because off Error: Missing Dependency: libmysqlclient.so.14(libmysqlclient_14)(64bit) is needed by package php-mysql The system has MySQL 5 rpms, build on monk.karan.org. I can't remember/find where I found these packages. The thing is, mysqlclient14 (4.1.14 4.c4) only provides libmysqlclient.so.14()(64bit), which was fine with php-mysql-4.3.9-3.12.x86_64. However, php-mysql-4.3.9-3.15.x86_64 also wants libmysqlclient.so.14(libmysqlclient_14)(64bit): sarastro:/users/henkvl 531% rpm -qip --requires /users/mirror/Linux/centos/4/updates/x86_64/RPMS/php-mysql-4.3.9-3.15.x86_64.rpm | grep libmysql libmysqlclient.so.14()(64bit) libmysqlclient.so.14(libmysqlclient_14)(64bit) Any ideas? VMWare disaster recovery?

I found this in the large and growing list of downloadable vmware appliances: http://www.vmware.com/vmtn/appliances/directory/316. I haven't run it yet, but it claims to provide a way to mirror running windows boxes over iscsi to vmware disk images, then allows you to boot that image under vmware as a replacement for the server with little downtime. Has anyone attempted something like this with Centos - or know if software mirrors work over iscsi? -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell(a)gmail.com

Strange mouse problems

Hi I asked this question a while back and haven't gotten any response. I have a Microsoft wireless mouse 6000. It works on all the versions of linux I have tried except Centos I have tried version 4.2-4.3 and it has the same problems. I have scoured the internet looking for fixes but I have not been able to resolve the problem. The mouse seems to work fine but as you move it over menus it will click on its own, and at time even on the desk top causing programs to load, menus to pop up etc. Can anyone help me with this. I wan't to start using Centos as my main OS but this crazy mouse is holding me back. I can plug in a second USB mouse in at the same time (wired) and it works perfect. Greg, The latest release of Windows AD (ADR2) integrates a newer version of SFU into the AD schema. We have tested it very successfully using our CentOS boxes to authenticate authorize access to our machines, using kerberos and LDAP. We tried the winbind/smb approach, and the way it handles UIDs and GIDs is less than desireable in our case. It might work for small offices/networks with 50 users or so, but for us, in the case of spreading it campuswide to 1000s of users, it would never do. Also, the degree of UID/GID management is less than stellar since they are enumerated as people log on, and if the machine housing the UID/GID database crashes or you lose the database, getting the exact same mappings upon rebuild may not work - even with backups.
