that doesn't work - if I linux dd=nfs:<io>:<path> the installer hangs with 'loading megaraid_sas' and no USB-device is working (so I can't see whether this is the driver included in CentOS or the driver loaded via NFS) when I try with linux expert noprobe dd=nfs:<io>:<path> I must load the network drivers by hand first but then I can not specify to load the driverdisk via NFS _and_ I'm not able to load the driver via USB-floppy/stick and linux dd=/dev/device is not working because NO usb-device is working - no usb stick - no usb floppy - no usb mouse -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: centos-bounces(a)centos.org [mailto:centos-bounces@centos.org] Im Auftrag von Jim Perrin Gesendet: Freitag, 14. Same thing. Install the new versions: yum update clamav clamav-devel Use perl -MCPAN to install the newest clamav perl module (if needed). Restart the services: service clamd restart service freshclam restart (depending on the names of your init files, of course) There will be a short interruption in clamd availability while it restarts, but it can't be helped. -- Bowie

It doesn't have to be an actual floppy disk (people still use those?). I usually toss all the drivers I'm going to need for an install at work onto a usb memory stick and let the installer pick them up from there. -- During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act. ok - I tried this too. But CentOS tries to find the floppy as /dev/hda which is not the device for the USB-Floppy. Dell ships one with the server because no one is integrated. Emailing from Command Line

Thanks for reading, I need certain shell scripts to email me after they are done running. I've installed ssmtp to forward to my internal SMTP server. I have a working ssmtp config on a Gentoo system that works just fine, but on CentOS it's not working. how to upgrade clamav?

hi guys, how can i upgrade my clamav without affecting my mail server. im using centos4.2 mailscanner, spamassassin and clamav. i recently found some logs when i issued freshclam, saying i have to upgrade it. tnx. --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Minimum steps needed to get horde working with a single pop3 server?

I installed horde/Imp via yum and I am having difficulty getting it to function with my single POP3 server. I defined my external POP3 server in imp/config/servers.php, but every time I type in a POP3 username and password into the login screen it takes me to a blank redirect.php. Anyone have any idea whats going on? Note, all I did to setup apache was change the document root from /var/www/html to /usr/share/horde Thanks, Andrew

Suspend and/or Hibernate

I asked about ACPI several weeks ago but received no responses. Are suspend and hibernate features not supported in CentOS yet? I noticed there is a daemon for acpi: [scarolan@kalki ~]$ chkconfig --list | grep acpi acpid 0:off 1:off 2:off 3:on 4:on 5:on 6:off But how do I use this feature? Normally I'm accustomed to this being a menu option when I log out (eg, on recent versions of Fedora or Ubuntu). I noticed in /etc/acpi/events/ there is a file called sample.conf which configures the power button to attempt a graceful shutdown. How can I add a 'suspend' or 'hibernate' feature and bind it to a keyboard combination? thanks Sean
