New CentOS mirror

Hi, We have been running a CentOS mirror for the last 4 months now and i would like to open it up to the public. The server carries all releases and architectures and syncs 4 times a day. The hostname is mirror.widexs.nl and you can reach it through ftp and http http://mirror.widexs.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/centos/ ftp://mirror.widexs.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/centos/ The server is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands and has a 100Mbit internet connection. Missing headers in 5.0, odd link structure

I guess I never paid all that much attention to it before just now, but has the CentOS 5 tree always been missing the HEADER.html and HEADER.images links? It's not pretty any more :( Also, why are the directories inside /5 individually linked to their current version, instead of directly linking /5 to /5.2 as was done with the 4 series? Average Traffic?

I'm debating joining into the mirror program to donate some additional bandwidth to the worthy cause you are. Can a few of you speak out regarding what sort of bandwidth usage you are seeing? I am located in the United States (Miami, FL to be exact) and am on a 100MB uplink - it would be interesting to hear from some of the other folks with similar setups as to the amount of traffic that is pushed. With Cogent lowering their pricing I might go for a Gigabit burst uplink, but that's down the road. and I want to help now. J Thanks, John

Temporary mirror offline

Since we have technically diffculties triggerd an overload to our mirror (centos-mirror.financial.com) we have to shut it down for now. Also i am on holiday so the fix will propably last until next month. Hi people I'm try to respin Centos 5.2 with other packages but the official repos have some incosistency with the official medias This files are included in the oficial Medias however not at Centos repositories: cdparanoia-libs-alpha9.8-27.2.i386.rpm cdparanoia-alpha9.8-27.2.i386.rpm This files are required by nautilus-sendto packages. I think anybody forgot this files at the official repos Cheers
