Gigabyte MP30-AR0

Hi, I am toying with the idea of getting a Gigabyte MP30-AR0 board (despite the insanely exorbitant price tag). Has anyone got the aarch64 CentOS working on one of those? Any special instructions? Also, if I get the ISO, is it bootable on aarch64? Does the installer work? Or does the image have to be used like on 32-bit ARM? Thanks. Gordan

Request for a new package: raspberrypi-vc

Hello, Following the Fabian Arrotin recommendation, I open here the request to include the 'raspberrypi-vc' package into the CentOS 7 EPEL repository, or in the main tree. This package includes a command called 'vcgencmd' which offers a set of interesting values of the Raspberry Pi board; e.g. its temperature. Check here <http://www.elinux.org/RPI_vcgencmd_usage> for more information. I've downloaded the SRPM package from here <http://www.squeezecommunity.org/repo/fedora/24/pi/SRPMS/raspberrypi-vc-2016…>, and I realized that it was pretty easy to build on a full-updated CentOS 7 (kernel 4.4.14-v7). Kernel for BananaPi R1 (Lamobo R1)

Hello Guys, I have been compiling the Fedora 4.4.2-300 kernel for Centos , using the new Centos image for the Banana-pi . I have used the Fedora src rpm and then added the patch for the switch drivers specific for R1 (Lamobo R1) , then compiled it within the Centos dev arm environment I have . I ran into a couple of things : one cosmetic , the other one not so . I2C in Centos 7

Hello, I am running Centos on a raspberry pi 2b. (I downloaded the image from: http://people.centos.org/hughesjr/armv7hl/rpi2/images/ rpi2-centos-image.img.xz ) and installed the i2c libraries and modules for i2c. [root@rpi2-2 ~]# lsmod | grep i2c i2c_bcm2708 5006 0 i2c_dev 6027 0 From what I read that should be correct device file is there too: crw------- 1 root root 89, 1 Dec 31 1969 i2c-1 kernel: Linux rpi2-2 3.18.14-v7+ #794 SMP PREEMPT Sun Jun 7 12:50:51 BST 2015 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux However, when I scan the i2c bus with 'i2cdetect -y 1' I don't see any devices (and I tried 2 that I know work). is the I2C stuff in this kernel working? [PATCH] PCI/ASPM: Don't retrain link if ASPM not possible.

Check to see if ASPM is possible between link partners before configuring common clocking, and doing the resulting link retraining. If ASPM is not possible, there is no reason to risk losing access to a device due to an unnecessary link retraining. SELinux message

This is using the CUbieTruck image. When I did the yum update I saw: [ 11.948082] SELinux: Class binder not defined in policy. [ 11.953578] SELinux: the above unknown classes and permissions will be allowed Later, when I was setting up a policy for moving SSH port: # semanage port -a -t ssh_port_t -p tcp 789 <- (not the real number) I again saw: [ 2273.047017] SELinux: Class binder not defined in policy. How to chroot from x86 to arm?

Hello Guys, I have been doing centos package compiling on arm hardware for a while now , and it has been going OK . One drawback is that some bigger packages would run for 10hrs to compile . I would like to speed up that process , and compile on a much more powerful machine . I tried cross-compiling but ended up with issues when the arm package got contaminated with i386 libraries no matter what I tired . I also tried qemu VM running on my core2duo 4 core desktop machine . This worked OK as packages were perfect , but it was slower to compile than using arm hardware . Same package that took 10 hrs on arm hw , compiled for 3 and a half days on the desktop . My question is if I used a chroot approach to run the emulation will this be quicker than a qemu VM . If so can anyone please share their instructions on how to configure a chroot to run a centos 7 arm image on a x86 desktop. Best Regards Milorad

SElinux st failed

This is on a Cubieboard2 with the OS on a sata HD: I followed the instructions on the wiki vi /etc/sysconfig/selinux <- change from "permissive" to "enforcing" vi /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf <- change the "enforce=0" to "enforce=1" touch /.autorelabel I then rebooted and the following appears on the console log: [ OK ] Reached target Switch Root. Starting Switch Root... [ 10.682159] systemd-journald[129]: Received SIGTERM from PID 1 (systemd). [ 11.306507] systemd[1]: Failed to load SELinux policy. [!!!!!!] Failed to load SELinux policy, freezing. Note that /boot is sda1 and / is sda3 I am awaiting guidance. thank you
