Hi, I am toying with the idea of getting a Gigabyte MP30-AR0 board (despite the insanely exorbitant price tag). Has anyone got the aarch64 CentOS working on one of those? Any special instructions? Also, if I get the ISO, is it bootable on aarch64? Does the installer work? Or does the image have to be used like on 32-bit ARM? Thanks. Gordan

Actually we only have two kernels : - - what I'd call the "generic" one (that can be used on multiple boards directly, and following the Fedora upstream kernel) - - the raspberrypi2 variant (built from sources located at https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux) I've built (and tested locally those myself) the following updated kernels (including patches for CVE-2016-0728) : - - kernel-4.3.3-200.el7.armv7hl.rpm (updating kernel-4.2.3-200.el7.armv7hl.rpm) - - raspberrypi2-kernel-4.1.16-v7+.1.20160125gitab2b2e0.el7.armv7hl.rpm (for rpi2, obviously, updating raspberrypi2-kernel-4.1.11-v7+.1.20151021git4047fe2.el7.armv7hl.rpm) One important thing is that actually we still lack an automatic update process, something I'd like to work (with you ?) in the following days/weeks. qt-devel for armhfp

I cannot locate the qt-devel package for armhfp. All the other usual Qt4 goodies (qt-mysql, etc) are in the Base repo as expected, but not the -devel package. The same appears to hold for qt3-devel. raspi2 - ntfs, poptop, etc

Folks In my attempts to get a Raspberry Pi 2 environment (using Centos7 - arm7hl 1511) working and doing the kinds of server things I think I would like, I noticed that there's no support for several goodies I'm used to using: pptpd (poptop) ntfs-3g (for reading windows disks) perl-Authen-PAM I've consulted the repositories supplied with the 1511 distribution, plus: epel (baseurl=http://repo.medon.htt-consult.com/epel7/noarch) Is there anything in plan for these items? My goal is to replace some Centos 6 ancient machines with Arm plus external hd. David

List of 64-bit hardware for testing?

I've been lurking for a while hoping to see someone call out some specs, but I don't recall seeing them. My apologies in advance of this is a redundant question. I'm interested in inexpensive hardware to test for arm64/aarch64, but I'm having trouble finding them. For example, [1] lists a X-C1 Basic dev board, but its $1495 USD [2] (add $1000 USD for the Plus kit). Another example is the AMD Opteron A1100 dev kit at $3000 USD [6]. As another example, I purchased both an HTC 510 Desire and a Samsung Galaxy Core-Prime because both were supposed to be 64-bit ARMv8 [3,4]. But after the press release and conversion to the US market, they arrived as 32-bit ARMv7. First question... Does Cent maintain a list of inexpensive hardware for testing? If so, would someone point me to it? I understand the list is subjective and it will become stale over time. That's a different problem (and a problem I wish I had). Second question... Or, is it possible to get SSH access to one of the machines provided by Applied Micro or AMD [1,6]? GNU has a compile farm (http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/CompileFarm) I can test with, and I'm wondering if Cent does the same. Last question... Has anyone tried using the Android TV boxes [5] for testing? They appear to be inexpensive (around $100 USD) and some appear to be ARMv8 with multiple 64-bit cores (Cortex-A53 and Cortex-A57). (Its definitely like Perrin said, "Hardware really is the best sort of gift..." [6]). Thanks in advance. group install "Development Tools" fails

Hi all, I just created a SD card for a Raspberry Pi2 using the image found here: http://mirror.centos.org/altarch/7/isos/armhfp/ I boot with no problem and start by updating this minimal installation: yum update --> ok Then I install some packages: yum install nfstest --> ok yum install perl --> ok yum group install "Development Tools" ... Error: Package: systemtap-devel-2.8-10.el7.armv7hl (base) Requires: kernel-devel I cannot find the package kernel-devel Regards -- JeF

updates status

I see that there are no updates available since the build. I hope that soon we will be getting updates. It is one thing to put up a simple web server. For my DNS server, I want to know I am getting somewhat regular bind updates. Also as I previously mentioned I have found programs that are not in the base like spamassasin. The bigger project is getting activity on epel for arm so we can do a decent mail server. thanks!

Implementing on beaglebone black.

Hello, I am looking into putting Centos on my Beaglebone Black, and I came across your rootfs factory. I'm wondering how it works and what is the high->low level of implementing. Do I need an existing arm binary system? Currently Beaglebone black comes with debian, and my desktop is debian, how would I use your scripts, to make the initial image? The end goal is to have a centos system with Selinux enabled.

Hi, I recently made a request to community buildsys arm32 so that I can understand the build process and then try and do a do a build for an olimex olinuxino A20 board. In addition, I've just received a Pine64 board and wouldn't mind trying to do a build for that too. Do I need to resubmit the request for buildsys - arm64 with the same keys? Cheers Nick

Cubietruck with LiPo UPS

Hi there, I've build my own webserver (thanks to Robert Moskowitz) with the cubietruck. I've bought a LiPo UPS (http://www.pollin.de/shop/dt/MTU3NzkyOTk-/Bausaetze_Module/Entwicklerboards…) My search at the internet found, that with Cubian or other Debian-based OS there is way to monitor the powerpack with "cat /sys/class/power_supply/battery/uevent". Network fails Raspberry pi 2

Folks I've been having lots of problems with Centos 7 on Raspberry Pi 2. The network seems to work for a while after a bootstrap, but then dies. The command systemctl restart network always fails. This occurs after installation and updates. I wonder of others have had this issue, or is my RPI2 defective? It's connected to my internal network by a wire-connection to a working Centos 6 gateway. I posted the results of journalctl earlier, so won't bother reposting. Is this the right mail=list to detect if and when the issue is addressed? David
