Hello Sorry to use this mailing list for this question, but someone have a howto create centos 7 arm image? I saw some mails for cubieboard or raspi2 and I can try on bananapi and give feedback (armv7). Thanks, Nicolas

armv7hl kernel updates

Root Build Factory is awesome for creating images and we can certainly create new images when we get new kernels .. but we need a way to make that (kernel upgrades) happen in a automated way as well. I know that some images use unique kernels, but we need a way to update the ones that use the distro kernel. I would also like to figure out how to use the distro kernel on boards that currently do not. Thanks, Johnny Hughes

Arm compilation

Hello Is it possible to know the process to use my bananapi as compil server, and try to compil some packages? I've tried to compil some with rpmbuild, but a lot of packages are missing. How do you compil it from the centos servers? I have ask for a account like explain in the wiki but no answers. Thanks for your help, sorry it already asked. Nicolas

CentOS Linux for AArch64 Beta2

We are pleased to announce the second public beta release of CentOS Linux 7 for the AArch64 platform. This release contains fixes and code updates provided in the RHELSA source code recently published to git.centos.org as well as rolling previous updates into the installer. We intend to have a 'Gold' release very soon unless a blocker bugs are reported, so please test this release. Improvements since the initial Beta =================================== The 4.1rc kernel has been removed in favor of the 3.19 kernel as it contains some additional functionality by default. The 4.x kernel will be available later as a -plus kernel. Installation/Everything ISO is now available. We're currently offering an Everything ISO that can be used for usb based installation if desired. This iso is currently too large for standard DVD media, and so is best used via usb media. Many updated packages, including core packages likebzip2, dbus, grub2, libaio, and more. Download ======== The full (unsigned) install tree is available at http://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/7/os/aarch64/ Everything-ISO is available at http://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/7/isos/aarch64/CentOS-7-aarch64-Everythi… Installation ============ Installation guides and documentation will be provided via the CentOS wiki, at http://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/AltArch/AArch64 Update procedures for existing installations ============================================ Because the kernel version has been rolled back from 4.x to 3.19, you will need to take some additional steps to update. 1. yum -y update 2. yum distro-sync # This will roll back the installed kernel packages 3. yum remove kernel-core kernel-modules # cleans up kernel leftovers. 4. reboot to new kernel ============ Contributing The AArch64 effort is meant to be a community effort as part of the AltArch SIG (http://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/AltArch), and we welcome enthusiasts and vendors to contribute patches, fixes, documentation, etc. In the AArch64 Extras repository, we have provided the mock package and dependencies so that community members can more easily contribute, as well as testing their own builds locally. Please submit patches, fixes, etc to the Arm-Dev list (http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/arm-dev) for discussion and acceptance. We encourage vendors to come and join this effort, we have a loose organization focused on the alternative architectures build process and welcome interaction at the group level. ARM64 installation issue

Hi all, I've been trying to create installation media (usb) for CentOS 7 at arm64 based hw. I've picked up files from here http://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/7/os/aarch64/ which seems to be an installation related stuff, isn't it? So I've partitioned usb manually copy files on it and so on. Mock / Arm

Hello I'm trying some compilations with mock for armv7, I saw you use a config "c7-pass-1" on logs (ex: http://armv7.dev.centos.org/rpmbuild/c7-pass-1/4289-boost-1.53.0-23.el7/arm…). Is it possible to have it to try with same config ? Thanks Nicolas

Need Help With Fixing These armv7hl Build Failures

All, People have been asking how they can help the armv7hl (32-bit) build process. There are currently a bunch of packages that have not built in our build passes so far. Most of those just require other non-built packages .. so those we can ignore from now (since, that just requires rebuilding packages in a loop if there are no real build errors). But, there are some packages that actually have real build errors ... that is, all the requirements are met and they are actually failing while trying to build. These packages actually need to get patched or something else to actually build. Pre-Alpha armv7hl images

I just added a Raspberry Pi2 image to the same directory as the previous Cubietruck image. Both of these images work and are based on the packages in our minimal install from x86_64 CentOS-7. These images are both with non-signed RPMs and are based on the current (in progress) builds from our plague-builders. They are not production ready (or even close), and are both designed to be dd copied to an SD Card.
