Hi,
I was able to install centos on the machiatobin using the iso via efi.
However no network interfaces show up, I also tried to plug in a usb wifi
adapter, it is recognized in dmesg but still no network interface with
command ip a (only shows loopback device) or cat /proc/net/dev. Any
pointers greatly appreciated. I also tried going into bios and selecting
ACPI setting in the device manager menu but no change...
Also, as an aside, to be able to install using the iso I had to add kernel

Wasn't sure if it would be helpful to document that. Incidentally, that
poster also saw no network interfaces.
Thanks much.

The wiki says:
Before centos-userland-release-7-5.1804, in order to activate the new
kernel and edit /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf, you had to run
/usr/bin/update-boot. This is no longer valid and it is done
automatically by grubby.
But I just happened to look at /boot/grub/grub.conf

And I did the yum update that installed the 4.14.52 kernel.
Should I run update-boot?

I am a proponent of Xfce, especially for armv7 boards. I got introduced
to Xfce with Fedora-arm 19 (or was it 18 or even 17?).
I did the Gnome image install, dropped to runlevel 3, installed
vncserver, and do get the gnome desktop with my notebook taking most of
the performance hit.
But having at least the option of installing the minimal image then
doing a group install "Xfce Desktop" would be great.
BTW, I did 'yum list >y.lst' and 'grep -i xfce y.lst' and came up empty

Hi Team,
Being new to the Linux world, I have installed Centos for R Pi3 on a 16gb
microSD card, and partitions are done by default, leaving less space for
root file system. Here is what I get.
This is the second time I am running into this issue.
Can anyone help me with the steps to increase the size for /dev/root to 6G
please.
Operating System: CentOS Linux 7 (Core)

One change, perhaps, on the dd of the image.
is it possible for the progress to be reported in MB, rather than
bytes? It would be more valuable to humans (kind of like the -h option
in some commands).
thanks
Hello, I am back after a fairly long time doing other stuff.
I am working on building from the 1804 generic images for my Cubieboards.
I am following: https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/AltArch/armhfp
My notebook is Fedora 28, and
dnf install uboot-images-armv7 uboot-images-armv8
works, but puts the uboot in a different place than noted in the wiki.
On Fedora, they are going in
/usr/share/uboot/
Is the wiki correct for what Centos is placing them?
thanks
Hello,
I've run across this while trying to do " yum groupinstall "Development
Tools" ".
I'm trying to install "systemtap-devel-3.2-8.el7_5.armv7hl" and it's saying:
Error: Package: systemtap-devel-3.2-8.el7_5.armv7hl (updates)
Requires: kernel-devel-uname-r
I think maybe somehow "$(uname -r)" isn't being expressed correctly?
Thanks,
Chris S
Hi,
I've just installed this image for a RPi 3. It boots without issue, but
when I do a yum update it segfaults.
Is there away around this ?

Hello,
The current package 'bluez-5.44-4.el7' doesn't include full support for
the Bluetooth device on the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B (BCM43430). That's
the reason why you get the Bluetooth MAC address as 'AA:AA:AA:AA:AA:AA'
executing 'hciconfig -a'.
As stated here
<https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=176348>, we
need to patch the 'bluez' package with the following 4 patches listed
here <https://gist.github.com/pelwell/c8230c48ea24698527cd>, as the
…
[View More]Fedora guys do in their 'bluez.spec' file:

Patch52: 0052-Increase-firmware-load-timeout-to-30s.patch
Patch53: 0053-Move-43xx-firmware-to-lib-firmware.patch
[...]
Once applied such patches the real Bluetooth MAC address appears
successfully:
# hciconfig -a

Also, in order to complement the above patching, it is recommended to
add the '--experimental' argument to the Bluetooth daemon in the systemd
unit file:

Hi all,
I face some strange issues with SSH/SCP/SFTP connection hangs on a 3B+.
While transfering a huge file to a Linux Server, the connection hangs.
I do observe this 100% time, when the file is like 1Gb or more
I never observed this with smaller files, like RPMS.
After some googling, I found the following threads:
https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/2449https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/2482
Made some attempts this morning, and I can confirm that I face …

I have no time, yet, to check the 2nd thread.
OK. Both threads tend to indicate that TSO should be disabled, by default:
sudo |ethtool -K eth0 tx-tcp-segmentation off|
and it works perfectly ...
Any chance to have the patch reported to CentOS ?
