Hi All, A colleague pointed me at: https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/aarch64/ This looks to me like EPEL, but I'm not sure this is an official _CentOS_ EPEL; And I'm not sure I understand if there is a difference anyway... Can someone advise if this is the CentOS EPEL for AArch64 - or what the status of AArch64 EPEL is for CentOS?
many thanks,Richard

I am not sure what is an official _CentOS_ EPEL.. EPEL is made by the Fedora Project for RHEL and works on the CentOS architectures which are equivalent. I don't know of any CentOS EPEL.

Richard,
FWIW, we use the "https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/aarch64/" version on our production CentOS aarch64 systems. That said, I've cherry picked a few RPMs from the https://buildlogs.centos.org/c7-epel.a64/ repo in the past.
Which is to say, I have also not found an "official CentOS" EPEL.

This is the correct EPEL to use. EPEL has always been provided by the Fedora Project for use with CentOS and other 'Enterprise Linux' builds.
There was a period where we saw demand for EPEL packages on aarch64, but fedora was not yet tooled to build them. We maintained an unofficial and unsigned repository (mentioned in another reply) briefly until the real EPEL repository was available.
Please use the repository you found for EPEL, as the unofficial one hosted on buildlogs.centos is no longer maintained.
All: thanks for this - I'm now clear about the relationship between fedora project, EPEL, and CentOS - and have confidence in the repo my colleague shared! best regards,Richard

It is wonderful to hear that there is an official AArch64 EPEL.
What about the amrv7nl EPEL status?
thanks

Last time it was discussed with Fedora/Epel folks, the issue is that Epel is building against RHEL, and that there is no RHEL 7 armhfp release (and that will never happen)
So for the time being, the only option is the one described on the wiki (https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/AltArch/Arm32?highlight=%28arm3...) and so use that "unofficial" repo
