Hi,
I guess this is for David mostly, but has anyone tried to get this working :
https://github.com/96boards/documentation/wiki/LatestSnapshots
With the UEFI stack in, we should be able to boot the C7/aarch64 stack straight on, and then we can look at what driver support etc is missing.
regards,
Actually, all of my HiKey boards are currently in use by customers, I don't have any available to test on at the moment. =( -David

I might have one or two around :) will try and see if I can get this tested in the coming week. If I can get them booting, they can be hosted in the DC where other people can get access as well.

My hikey arrived over the weekend, so I'll hopefully be able to kick it around soon. The usb-uart cable won't be here for a few days ( I can't solder for crap) so it may take me a bit of time to really kick its tires.
There's no kernel support for the hisilicon chip as of the base 3.19, but it may be supported as of one of the later 4.2 builds. I'll dig into it a bit later this week.

hey Jim and Brian,
was wondering if there was any news on this front ? There is a demo potential coming up for next week and it would be grand if we can get a few hikey's up in a cluster. Not a huge deal if not possible yet.

My time has been consumed with a few other aarch64 bits so I haven't put as much time into the hikey as I'd like. When I get back from linuxconf, I'll see about making this work. I picked up one of the seeedstudio console/UART attachments for the hikey last week, so that will help out rather significantly.
TL;DR, no. It won't be ready in time for the demo. That said, we do have xen+openstack working.
