CentOS 5.6 - Samba server + Windows error 233

Hi! I have upgraded my servers yesterday to CentOS 5.6 via yum update. Everything went smoothly except that i have client workstations not part of the domain that are not able to access the samba server anymore. The samba server is part of the domain. We recently added Windows 2008 R2 DC. Everything was working smoothly until the CentOS update. I had a Win7 Workstation that i had success connecting when using the "net use" command: net use g: \\sambaserver\share /user:domain\username The mapping worked right away and didn't even asked for the password. Normally, before the CentOS upgrade, i'd put \\sambaserver in the UNC line of the Windows Explorer and i'd get a box asking for credentials. Entering "domain\username" as user and giving the password in the password line was working. Not anymore. I have another XP workstation on another subnet (router wide open) and the mapping with the command line as specified above doesn't even work. flash and konqueror

I am stuck taking this stupid online training course from work. It just sits there doing nothing with firefox, so I pulled up konqueror, and tell it to lie and say it's IE. That works... until it gets to the content, which some HR moron is *positive* desperately needs to be in flash. I've gone into konqi's configuration, and told it to scan the correct directory for plugins, and yet a) I see no easy way to find out what plugins are installed, and b) it can't seem to see libflashplayer.so. Clues for the poor? mark

Hi, The default system-auth file for PAM on CentOS has the following auth section: auth required pam_env.so auth sufficient pam_unix.so nullok try_first_pass auth requisite pam_succeed_if.so uid >= 500 quiet auth required pam_deny.so What's the use of the pam_succeed_if line? It will only be reached if the pam_unix doesn't succeed and from my understanding it will prevent system accounts from logging in. Is it useless or am I missing something? Thanks, Daniel.
