Problems with yumex after update

Hi Folks, I've upated yesterday yumex (and other programms). But now I get an error message when starting yumes and yumex stopped. Message: [root@main tk]# yumex Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/yumex/yumexmain.py", line 36, in ? from yumex.yum24XBase import * File "yum24XBase.py", line 26, in ? ImportError: No module named repomd Any hints? Is repomd a python module? And if so - where can I get it? Thx Timothy

Error on installing vlc

Initialization scripts

I'm trying to create an initialization scrip in the /etc/init.d/. Of course, the one I have is failing! At the top of the other initialization scripts in the same directory, there is are two lines, the chkconfig and description # chkconfig: 2345 55 25 # description: OpenSSH server daemon On the check config line, what are the numbers/attributes that follow? If I'm creating an initialization script, what numbers/considerations should I make? Thanks, Todd

rpm scriptlet failed

unable to run php application on centos4.0

Hi Friends, I am trying to configure a blog on Centos4.0. The blog is written in php and I am not able to run the php applications on this system. php-pear-4.3.9-3.2 php-4.3.9-3.2 php-ldap-4.3.9-3.2 php-mysql-4.3.9-3. Php is installed on the system and in the httpd.conf file I have added index.php for Directory Index but whenever I try to access the blog i get the contents of the file and php is not executing. The permissions on the directory under /var/www/html/blog is set to 777 but still the problem is persisting. What should I do and where to check ? Thanks & Regards Ankush Grover

yum does not update x86_64

Hi, After a successful upgrade CentOS 3.8 i386 to CentOS 4.4 x86_64 and, after cleaning old 3.8 packages, yum does not update the x86_64 packages but just the i386's. The rhn-applet see the x86_64 updates but neither yum nor up2date see them.
