Hi everybody... first of all, this is my first mail for this list and perhaps i won't explain me as clear as i want, because of my English (i speak Spanish), so hope u can help me. Well, I need a good diagram drawer. I have Dia, but i hate it, so I google and found Kivio, from the Koffice suite, but I just can't install it, by yum, by downloading a package... anything. What can I do? Thanks

There was a recent thread about this, when I asked the same question. Check the archives. We're running 9650 on intel, so I can't be much help on AM2 motherboards. Maybe you can use a PCIe x16 video slot on AM2; not on intel. Unless you need raid 6, or PCI express, the 9550 (PCI-X) would also be a good choice (and IIRC doesn't require a driver replacement for CentOS 4.4). With the driver you download from 3ware, the 9650 works "real good." Cheers, Dave Thompson UW-Madison

How can I upgrade to CentOS 4.4 from 4.3 if I have no internet connection? Load data in ldap

Hi.. I try to load data in ldap server. I am using migration tools... But, When I use the migration tools throw the following message: bdb_db_open: Warning - No DB_CONFIG file found in directory /usr/local/var/openldap-data: (2) Expect poor performance for suffix o=utpl.edu,c=ec. str2entry: invalid value for attributeType objectClass #6 (syntax 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.38) I hope your comments..

Motherboard + 3ware 9650SE suggestions

Hello everyone! Working on putting a storage server together and wanted to get some input as to what motherboards have been working for people with the 3ware 9650SE-12ML raid board. This is large, bulk storage, 2-tier stuff. This will not be used for realtime editing of video or something, but a gig nic is almost a given I hope. I have an AMD chip available (AM2 slot) but I can get a new chip if needed. Side note on the 3Ware, has anyone gotten it to work on openfiler? Can't figure out how to compile the driver since the kernel is a rev or two behind including the driver. Will use Centos but wonld love to try and get openfiler working on this box. Thanks! Andrew

Guten Tag, bonjour, saudações, hola, ahoj, welkom and of course hello. Ladies and gentlemen, the CentOS mailing lists are going international! Yes, now you can talk about your favourite linux distribution in your favourite language. If - and that is a big if - you are able to talk in - german - french - czech - dutch - the brasilian variant of portuguese - spanish Which should be about, ermm, many people - and maybe *you* are one of them. Let me introduce your hosts for the rest of your lifes: There is Rodrigo Barbosa, who is running the CentOS-pt-br mailing list, because he is one of the people who are speaking this language. If that doesn't make him a good moderator, what else will? Then there is Tru Huynh of CentOS fame who still has time on his hands to run CentOS-fr. Daniel DeKok, resident spell checker (I haven't found an error on the wiki he didn't spot first) is running CentOS-nl. David Hrbáč has offered to run CentOS-cz, hoping that he'll still have some free time after you storm the list. Roger Peña Escobio and Ernesto Pérez Estévez wanted to do us a big favour with running the CentOS-es list, answering the multitude of requests for a spanish CentOS support venue. And Christoph Maser and me are going to run CentOS-de, just so there is a german mailing list also. So give them all a big hand for offering their help!
