Debug file for -42.0.2 i686 MD5 NOT OK

Downloaded from http://vault.centos.org/debuginfo/4/i386/ The file I received was 23-Aug-2006 06:18 298M. My ls showed 312932522. I presume this is an approximate match. Validation failed. # rpm --checksig kernel-debuginfo-2.6.9-42.0.2.EL.i686.rpm kernel-debuginfo-2.6.9-42.0.2.EL.i686.rpm: sha1 MD5 NOT OK The i586 file validates OK. TIA -- Bill

Webalizer problem

Hello all, I installed Webalizer and configure a different conf file. So I use : webalizer -c myconf.conf But when the stats are generated I have URL which are not in my Log file ! So I think webalizer does not parse correctly the conf file and do not use the good log file Anyone have this problem or a solution? Thanks Best regards

MD5/Checksums for debug files?

Being new at distro SOPs, I don't know if this is an unusual thought. With a kernel debug package (or any such debug package) would it be prudent in todays world to have a checksum or signature process to assure the downloaded file is untampered with and complete? What prompts this is I just downloaded the kernel packages that Johnny put up. I had not realized they were so large and thought "TG I'm not on dial-up anymore". Anyway, thought I would raise the question. TIA -- Bill

Guys, I'm running into a dependecy issue running through the process of building a system for Openbravo. My test system's running CentOS 4.4, i386. Openbravo requires... - Jakarta-Tomcat version 5.5. It can be downloaded from http://tomcat.apache.org/ - Java (TM) 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0. It can be downloaded from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp - Oracle(r) 10g database release 2. It can be downloaded from http://www.oracle.com - Apache-ant 1.6. It can be downloaded from http://ant.apache.org/ So far (see attached text file for rough documentation of build sequence) I've built Java and JTA successfully. When I try to install tomcat55 it results in... "Error: Missing Dependency: eclipse-ecj >= 0:3.1.1 is needed by package tomcat55-common-lib" Jpackage 1.6 only has eclipse-3.0.2 as far as I can see. So, my question, is there a preferred or authoratative source for packaging/or a prepackaged Eclipse that'll fulfil my requirements? I've searched around and found mention of Jason Corley 's SRPMs http://www.zarb.org/~jasonc/repo/ from https://www.zarb.org/pipermail/jpackage-discuss/2006-June/010098.html, I'll have a play with those now. Do I need to switch to 1.7 to fulfil these requirements? Any suggestions or best-practices greatfully received. Cheers, Will

CentOs 4.X and APF firewall issues

Hi, We have 7 Dell 2850 servers with dual xeon 3 gig processors running the APF firewall version 0.9.6 http://rfxnetworks.com/apf.php They run fine for a day or two, then suddenly lock out all incoming connections, other than the backend IP, sometimes restarting the firewall resolves this, but occasionally we may have to leave it 10 mins or so before restarting where it will actually allow connections again. Has anyone had this issue themselves, or does anyone successfully running Cent0s 4.X with the 2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp kernel have a sample /etc/apf/config.apf I could take a look at? Hi, I am looking for the kernel source for 4.4. All I found was kernel-2.6.9-42.EL.src.rpm <http://mirrors.kernel.org/centos/4.4/os/SRPMS/kernel-2.6.9-42.EL.src.rpm> I was expecting to find the kernel-2.6.9-42.0.2.EL.src.rpm <http://mirrors.kernel.org/centos/4.4/os/SRPMS/kernel-2.6.9-42.EL.src.rpm> Are they the same? Samba setup for CentOS-4.4 workstations

Hello James I'm using W2k AD domain spread acros all country (not so big but ...). And users from AD using samba shares on Centos 4 (single authentication). The best reading howto solve this for me is http://www.brentnorris.net/samba2005.html <http://www.brentnorris.net/samba2005.html> . It working great form me about 1 year with authenticating users from different locations and using diferent shares on some Centos boxes (main file server). Many thanks to both Centos team and Brent. Pix Firewall Monitoring Software on Linux

hey friends, I am looking for a free open source software (web based or application) through which I can monitor the Pix Firewall. What it should show Interface status or traffic , VPN Connectivity status, CPU Status, Memory Status etc. I am also running DHCP server on Pix Firewall (due to some reasons) If it can monitor that also means showing how many IPAddresses has been assigned, to whom, what is the lease time etc. then it will be very good. I know about cacti but for VPN Connectivity status one has to use telnet which I don't want to use and I don't know about monitoring DHCP server through it. Is there any other tool through which I can monitor Pix Firewaall ? I am using Centos4.0 Thanks & Regards Ankush Grover
