Hello All,
i'm trying to get some gui on the Rasberry Pi.
I ran :
#yum groupinstall "Server with GUI" #systemctl set-default graphical.target
I see no "X Window System" and I think some X packages were installed with the server with gui.
Does anyone have this running?
Many thanks.
Johan

Hi Johan,
When we started the CentOS port/build for armv7hl, our initial goal was "Minimal" (aka being able to install the @core group). Obviously we had much more packages built directly, but it's true that some packages are still missing. That's where you can help : apart from http://mirror.centos.org/altarch/7/os/armhfp/ (signed packages with repoclosure), you can view all the build attempts, and also the packages that are actually built, but not pushed to mirror.c.o due to lack of dependencies. All packages built are available here : (raw format, unsigned) : http://armv7.dev.centos.org/repodir/ While all logs are available here : http://armv7.dev.centos.org/rpmbuild/
So if you can have a look at the packages you need, and verify if they built or not (or if they have dependency on some other packages that failed to build), feel free to report that here, and you can also ask for access to test builds in your own env there (see https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/AltArch/Arm32/builders)
I've myself not attempted any gui install/setup on rpi2/cubietruck
