Non-torrent D/L of 4.3 DVD image?

I am unable to use BitTorrent due to being behind a firewall. Does anyone have the 4.3 DVD image available for download? Thanks.

yum update

I did a "yum -y update" on centos 4.2 going to 4.3 - WOrked fine on my laptop. however my desktop crashed mid process somewhere now when I do yum -y update it says eror missing dependency xorg-x11-devel how do I continue on. THanks jerry

httpd not starting after 4.3 update

After updating to 4.3 I cant get httpd to startup. I see no messages in /var/log/message other that httpd failed. I see no errors in /var/log/httpd/error_log there is mention in ssl_error_log that no RSA or DSA certificate is found. I dont know what to do about that.I tried starting in the non fork mode but all it does is give me a prompt no error message . Also of note I am having issue with sshd. It starts up but I cannot connect to the machine. I have been at this for a couple hours now. trying anything... Jerry

how tell what process has port 22

I had trouble with the update to 4.3. /usr/sbin/sshd -d -D is telling me some other process is using port 22 and cant bind to it. How do I tell what program that is and stop it? Thanks, Jerry

This does not output anything on port 22??? It has process numbers with 22 in it but the ports were like :111 and something else... No 22. Lost printing with last update

After I updated today (~189 updates) I have lost the ability to print: [dick@c-24-63-101-211 ~]$ ls |lpr lpr: error - stdin is empty, so no job has been sent. Anyone having the same problem? Forced upgrade to 4.3 ?

I have Centos 4.2 and I run yum update periodically and manually when security patches are released, etc. Today I saw the sendmail security update and although I don't use sendmail (I use Postfix) I ran "yum update" and got a huge list of 93 packages to update. I presume this is to upgrade to 4.3. As this is a production server I'm nervous about doing an update that big. Is there a way to not go to 4.3, or should I just go on and load it? I have a few packages I loaded from source, all related to my mail system (dcc, razor, amavisd-new, spamassassin). I'm worried about the 4.3 update hosing those. Thanks, Scott

Cannot start sm-client on CentOS

Starting up sendmail I get: Starting sm-client: can not chdir(/var/spool/clientmqueue/): Permission denied Program mode requires special privileges, e.g., root or TrustedUser. I assume the user used for sm-client is smmsp. However, that user has /var/spool/mqueue as homedir and I added him to the trusted users list. FYI, that user has disabled login (which should be okay) and the group has a pre-encrypted password by default. On Suse the client queue runner is run by user mail:mail which also has login disabled but no password for the group. What do I need to change, so that sm-client runs okay on CentOS? Changing Window Mangager in X

Hi. I've been running CentOS 4 since it was first released. I just updated (via yum) to 4.3 yesterday (with no problems as most would guess!). My system runs X on start up (initlevel 5) and uses gdm as the display manager. I know that when I first installed CentOS 4 with GNOME as the default desktop, it came with metacity as the window manager (in fact it is still installed and I've never touched any of the X settings). I would like to try another window manager (I saw one in the CentOS extras repository). Can someone sort of guide me as to what I need to do to "run" a different window manager in X? The window manager that I want to try is 'xfwm4'. Thanks. Sincerely Jose
