Libvirt enhancement requests

Hi folks, I know you're rebuilding livbirt for the SIG. Would it be possible to enable RBD support in it? I know quite a few cases (in the Cloudstack community) that switched to Ubuntu particularly because CEPH support was missing. The recommendation is to rebuild the rpms, but this is not a viable thing for everyone. E.g. http://blog.widodh.nl/2015/04/rebuilding-libvirt-under-centos-7-1-with-rbd-… Another thing that I noticed on the CentOS ml recently is an alleged lack of hooks, https://www.libvirt.org/hooks.html And last but not least, where could I find the libvirt (s)rpms that the SIG produces? Differences between qemu-kvm and qemu-kvm-ev

Hi all, What are the real technical difference between qemu-kvm and qemu-kvm-ev packages? What are the advantages to use qemu-kvm-ev (if exists someone)? Or qemu-kvm-ev makes sense when is used with ovirt only?? Thanks.

Megacli issue with Xen PERC 5/i Poweredge 2950 II

I am having an issue with Megacli when adding or removing virtual disks. I will post a link to fpaste that has the issue shown. In brief whenever i add, or remove, a virtual disk via MegaCli the attempt succeeds and the adapter is configured but the OS remounts dm-0 in read only. dm-0 is my root lv. This issue does not happen if i boot into the default, non Xen, CentOS kernel. On stock CentOS kernel i can add and remove VD's all day without any issue at all. ONLY happens while booted up with the Xen kernel. I have been racking my brain trying to figure this out. Any help is appreciated. Kernel oops on the dom0

Hi All, One of our developers managed to trigger a kernel oops on a 4.4.2 dom0.. Oops text is attached. He was working on setting up network namespaces / bridging inside a centos domU, had activated the bridge and lost networking (probably config error) so he rebooted the VM. Going to try to reproduce on a test dom0 later this week, so happy to grab any additional debugging if required. - Nathan

CentOS 7 AMI on AWS GovCloud region

Hi, I'm working on building a cluster on AWS atop CentOS 7. For development, I've been working in the eu-west-1 (Ireland) region, where the AWS MarketPlace provides an official CentOS 7 AMI (ami-e4ff5c93). However, the production deployment is taking place in AWS's GovCloud region for regulatory reasons, and there, I couldn't find an official CentOS 7 AMI. Are there plans to provide an official CentOS 7 AMI for the GovCloud soon? Or instructions on how the official AMIs are built? Hi it is possible to use xen and spice already? If yes is there any howto or doc how?
