NIC Stability Problems Under Xen 4.4 / CentOS 6 / Linux 3.18

I have three different types of CentOS 6 Xen 4.4 based hypervisors (by hardware) that are experiencing stability issues which I haven't been able to track down. All three types seem to be having issues with NIC and/or PCIe. In most cases, the issues are unrecoverable and require a hard boot to resolve. All have Intel NICs. Often the systems will remain stable for days or weeks, then suddenly encounter one of these issues. So far I tried using pcie_aspm=off to see that would help, but it appears that the 3.18 kernel turns off ASPM by default on these due to probing the BIOS. Stability issues were not resolved by the changes. On the latter system type I also turned off all offloading setting. It appears the stability increased slightly but it didn't fully resolve the problem. I haven't adjusted offload settings on the first two server types yet. I suspect this problem is related to the 3.18 kernel used by the virt SIG, as we had these running Xen on CentOS 5's kernel with no issues for years, and systems of these types used elsewhere in our facility are stable under CentOS 6's standard kernel. This affects more than one server of each type, so I don't believe it is a hardware failure, or else it's a hardware design flaw. Selinux Problem

CentOS AMI's published to AWS

Greetings! Can someone please explain the process for publishing CentOS 7 AMI's to AWS? I see the "official" CentOS marketplace page here: https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B00O7WM7QW However, if I select us-west-2 and launch based on the current AMI that was released on 2/26/2016, I see that it is CentOS 7.2.1511 at boot up. Do new AMI's get published on a particular cadence? Eg; will there be an AMI for 7.3.1611, for example? I realize that we could do a yum update, but we'd prefer to start off new hosts on the latest version without needing to do a yum update and then save our own image. Hello List, I have to Install on a older Server Xen but this is not working now ;-( I do all I found in the Internet, can you tell me the way to a working XEN ? My Problem I mean, is a not working / starting libvirt no socket created ? Increase CPU usage on HV after upgrade (7.2 -> 7.3)

Hello , After upgrading the system from CentOS 7.2.1511 to CenOS 7.3.1611 I see that the average processing time has increased from 5-7% to 12-15% (doubled). Not critical but it is not pleasant. Server as KVM with 5 virtual machines. Someone noticed something similar? If so, how to fix that? Thx.

Updated libvirt packages (2.2.0-1) in testing

The CentOS 7.3 release updated to libvirt 2.0, which is now taking precedence over the previous virt sig libvirt packages (which were 1.3). I've pulled in the changes from Fedora 25, which uses libvirt 2.2.0. I've built and tested them for CentOS 7 and they work for me. (I'm having some infrastructure issue testing C6.) Please test them if you have an opportunity. I'll leave them there for a week and then push them to release if I don't have any complaints. Thanks, -George
