missing bnx2x firmware files in Xen4CentOS CentOS6 kernel 3.18.12-11

Hi folks As mentioned in the subject, kernel-3.18.12-11 is missing firmware files required to run Broadcom/Qlogic network cards, driven by bnx2x driver. While in the source-rpm, there is a bnx2/bnx2x firmware tgz being applied during the rpm build, along with a patch adding these firmware files to firmware/Makefile, neither the tgz nor the patch contain the required firmware files. In 3.18, the driver bumped to version 1.710.51-0, requiring the following firmware files/versions to work: firmware: bnx2x/bnx2x-e2-7.10.51.0.fw firmware: bnx2x/bnx2x-e1h-7.10.51.0.fw firmware: bnx2x/bnx2x-e1-7.10.51.0.fw I helped myself by either copying the required firmware-files to the target-machines' /lib/firmware/bnx2x dir and ultimately by adding the files to the source-rpm along with a new Makefile patch and rebuilding the kernel rpms. However, as bnx2x NICs seem quite commonplace these days, I suggest to fix this 'upstream'. If required, I can provide the (trivial) patch. I pulled the firmware-files from a CentOS 7 stock kernel. Libvirt 1.2.15 and Kernel 3.18.12 RPMs pushed to the Xen4

I have signed and pushed the libvirt-1.2.15-3 and kenel-3.18.12-11 RPMs into the xen4 repository for CentOS-6.6. These have been in virt6-testing for a few months now with no negative reports. They should be available on mirror.centos.org in 30 or so minutes and externally as those mirrors update themselves against mirror. Thanks, Johnny Hughes

iSCSI on CentOS 6

Hi! I am about to deploy a virtualisation cluster based on a storage server with 10 Gbps interfaces for iSCSI and two computing nodes running VMs in KVM that will access the storage via the 10 Gbps network. I am trying to find real use cases of people using CentOS 6 as an iSCSI target but can't find any. Anyone using a configuration similar to this one? Thanks in advance! Miguel

Golang packages in virt7-docker-common repo

Hi, This email is regarding golang-* packages and their repository. As kubernetes package is now updated in virt7-docker-common-* repo, it was discussed that all the golang-* packages should also go under the virt7-docker-common-* repo as well, presently they all are in virt7-testing repo. Also about package flannel, it is presently updated in virt7-testing repo. This package is used with kubernetes. Since kubernetes is now under virt7-docker-common-*, it was proposed to update the flannel package as well in virt7-docker-common-* repo. Thoughts? -- Navid

Hi all. I have just installed Centos 7.1 from the DVD image: http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/mirror.centos.org/7/isos/x86_64/CentOS-7… and I cannot find the KVM modules. Are they in a repo that is not in the base distribution please? Kind Regards, Keith
