Hello List,
CentOS 7.5
I have a question about a KVM problem (??) with my Servers, I hope any have a
answer. ;-)
My situation is, I have three server two identical motherboards and one 19"
Server.
The problem is the configuration with the Bridge Interface!
On my motherboards I have configured a NIC for bridge, on the 19" Server I
have the virbr0 from KVM configured.
All Server (motherboards) have a Intel I350 Ethernet Controller on Board, I
configured this NIC's with the "igb" driver …
[View More]and in the KVM clients with with
the "hostdev" option this two Interfaces are starting always correct.
But the "BRIGED" interfaces is the third Interface on all "servers", is
starting only sometimes :-(.
I have to check all clients after a kernel update for correct networking?
The only way to have again correct working clients is to reboot or stop and
start the clients sometimes three or four times and again.....
I have on all "Servers" 4-6 KVM Clients and this is a BIG problem for me!
Why is this possible (?), is my configuration broken or is a driver broken
or.......
thanks for a answer and help is possible,

Hi,
Some Mitel products, which are CentOS 6.x or 7.x servers based with some
telephony services added, are only supported on VMware virtualisation
platform, even all if theses CentOS guests are certified on last
CentOS/Redhat Virtualization or Microsoft Hyper V platforms.
So, at he moment we have three bad choises :
- Migrate part of our virtualization services from KVM/libvirt to VMware ;
- Install Mitel concerned product on a physical server ;
- Stay on KVM/libvirt and lose Mitel support …
[View More]for this product.
I'm seeking for technical/legal arguments which could help us to stay on
KVM/libvirt without losing Mitel support.
Regards,

Hi,
why are larger AWS instances c5d.9xlarge and c5d.18xlarge (NVMe SSD attached) NOT supported by Centos7 AMI,
while smaller instances (e.g. c5d.4xlarge) are supported?
Also regular c5.9/18xlarge are supported.
Thanks, Jens-Uwe

Hello
For the past three years I have my computer been set with with multiple
virtual machine assigned to a GPU using QEMU/KVM and VFIO. For the past
year CentOS as been the host computer, it has been reliable. This
summer I switch to the Centos Enterprise package, it been work for
several weeks until Friday, sometime over the weekend the console
portion of the boot process does not display. I have one Windows 10
virtual machine book, but the EFI boot screen does not display and the
…
[View More]Windows circle do not dance on the screen. I am unable able to boot my
other virtual machines, they get stuck the monitor just flash on and
off.
I performed a major upgrade on the 4th of July it work through Friday.
I have used the history command in yum to undo the update the problem
persisted. I have qemu-kvm-ev-2.10.0-21.el7_5.4.1.x86_64 and
libvirt-3.9.0-14.el7_5.6.x86_64. I can post a configuration if you
think it will help, I have regenerated a xml file from partially working
Windows 10 machine. What has changed in the last week. I have tried many
things but not sure were to go from here.
Thank you
Aaron
