Errors with virt-manager

Hi all, When I try to connect to a remote KVM host from my CentOS workstation (both are CentOS 7.1 fully patched) using virt-manager (ssh+qemu), the following error is displayed: Error launching connect dialogue: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.Avahi was not provided by any .service files Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/virt-manager/virtManager/engine.py", line 714, in _do_show_connect self._get_connect_dialog().show(src.topwin, reset_state) File "/usr/share/virt-manager/virtManager/connect.py", line 143, in show self.start_browse() File "/usr/share/virt-manager/virtManager/connect.py", line 273, in start_browse service, domain, flags) File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/site-packages/gi/overrides/Gio.py", line 171, in __call__ None) GError: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.Avahi was not provided by any .service files Searching about this error, I have found this patch: https://www.redhat.com/archives/virt-tools-list/2014-December/msg00165.html But applying this solution doesn't resolves the problem. Any idea why?

Megacli issue with Xen PERC 5/i Poweredge 2950 II

I am having an issue with Megacli when adding or removing virtual disks. I will post a link to fpaste that has the issue shown. In brief whenever i add, or remove, a virtual disk via MegaCli the attempt succeeds and the adapter is configured but the OS remounts dm-0 in read only. dm-0 is my root lv. This issue does not happen if i boot into the default, non Xen, CentOS kernel. On stock CentOS kernel i can add and remove VD's all day without any issue at all. ONLY happens while booted up with the Xen kernel. I have been racking my brain trying to figure this out. Any help is appreciated. hi, ovirt-3.5-release content is now signed and available on buildlogs, the corresponding -release file is on buildlogs.centos.org as well, in the centos/7/extras/ repos ( so as to reflect final release location on mirror.centos.org ). Kernel oops on the dom0

Hi All, One of our developers managed to trigger a kernel oops on a 4.4.2 dom0.. Oops text is attached. He was working on setting up network namespaces / bridging inside a centos domU, had activated the bridge and lost networking (probably config error) so he rebooted the VM. I've also attached xl dmesg. First time I've seen anything like this and not sure if his networking/bridging in the domU is related or just coincidental. Any thoughts / ideas? Going to try to reproduce on a test dom0 later this week, so happy to grab any additional debugging if required. - Nathan

CentOS 7 AMI on AWS GovCloud region

Hi, I'm working on building a cluster on AWS atop CentOS 7. For development, I've been working in the eu-west-1 (Ireland) region, where the AWS MarketPlace provides an official CentOS 7 AMI (ami-e4ff5c93). However, the production deployment is taking place in AWS's GovCloud region for regulatory reasons, and there, I couldn't find an official CentOS 7 AMI. Are there plans to provide an official CentOS 7 AMI for the GovCloud soon? Or instructions on how the official AMIs are built?
