No access to HAT i2c EEPROM

Hello all, Maybe some will be able to help a bit. I'm running 2 Raspberries 3B+, with the same old CentOS image, freshly prepared. Both run raspberrypi2-kernel 4.19.xx Both Raspberry have a hat, with a valid EEPROM. On both, the application I'm in charge of, has R/W access to /sys/class/i2c-adapter/i2c-3/3-0050/eeprom On one Raspberry, I update the kernel and only the kernel (yum update raspberrypi2-kernel) and I come to 5.4.42. epel-release package landed in unofficial armhfp epel-pass-1 repo

Hi, For the first time iv'e located a faulty package in the unofficial armhfp epel-pass-1 repository and oddly enough it is epel-release-7-12 (1) itself. It contains yum configurations pointing to non-existing repositories. (ie https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org) I fully understand it's not a big issue and stay's under the radar as nobody actual installs epel-release on a armhfp system; It kind of disturbs the CentOS 7 based installations we are using. Because the package is actually faulty i'm inclined to share to it here and hope to hear a likely action (if any). Hi, I’m new to list. I was able to connect to WiFi from 3b+ from centos 7 and 8 using: nmcli d wifi nmcli d wifi connect networkname password networkpassword

Hello, I am going to use a raspberry PI for browsing on a TV, so I want to connect with a wireless keyboard, bluetooth. It looks like bluetooth is "not running"; [rocr@centos-rpi3 ~]$ systemctl status bluetooth.service ● bluetooth.service - Bluetooth service Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: inactive (dead) Docs: man:bluetoothd(8) I don't have any bluetooth devices connected yet. but the service should be up, right? Is there a write-up, guide, to get bluetooth configured? thanks, Ron

Hi Jim, It's been a while, since I sent the patch. Any objections about merging? Is v4.11 kernel still a valid baseline or for the next releases or we should use v4.14? When is that transition and next release supposed to happen? orange pi pc2

hi i couldnt find a search tool for the mailing list, so apologies if it has been already discussed but i cannot find a howtofor the orange pi pc2. i see it as a supported device but not sure what i need to do to get it to boot. i used rufus and install OS and tried: CentOS-Userland-7-aarch64-generic-Minimal-2003-sda.raw.xz CentOS-Userland-7-armv7hl-generic-Minimal-2003-sda.raw.xz CentOS-Userland-7-armv7hl-RootFS-Minimal-2003-sda.raw.xz and none of them boot. I am assuming i am to load the specific uboot for the said device but not sure how?

CentOS-arm on v5 Odroids?

I have been off writing IETF standards (mostly for UA comm) for the past many months. But I just got some funding for an arm Centos project but it has to be a 5v (meaning armv7) system. Quite some time ago (a year ago, wow!) I worked on Odroid HC1. Has anyone worked with any Odroids recently? Or any other similar boards? thanks

Basic centos8 functionality on rpi4.

Hi, As a FYI, the pftf https://rpi4-uefi.dev/ is attempting to build a SBBR complaint firmware based on the SBSA complaint parts of the rpi4. What this means, is that recent versions of the firmware can boot/install the centos 8 default ISO images out of the box. There are a number of limitations, including that the centos kernel doesn't yet have the network/ACPI patches in place for the platform. But, given a USB3/SSD & USB3/NIC, it is a fairly painless process to install and use. The 3G limit & ACPI firmware options should be selected. Once that is done it can be booted/installed either via the graphical console (+usb keyboard/mouse on the USB3 ports), or on the serial ports depending on firmware settings.
