sylpheed not executing HTML addess on clicking

I use sylpheed version 2.0.4 on Centos 4.4. Somehow the double clicking on an HTML address is not working. This used to work before. Why would this be happining? -- Richard Miles Federal Way WA. USA registered linux user 46097

Are there any plans for Redhat/CentOS to implement the 2.6.18 Kernel which adds support for the Core 2 Duo chipsets, i.e. 965, 975, and 946? Thanks, -Drew

Thanks but I've just fixed it. Apache and PHP

Sorry for the newbee setup questions, but... Should PHP be already setup with apache on the centos server install?? It's just that I can't get PHP working at all. It's 100% me, I just don't have enough experience. There is already a PHP.ini file, if I add any php modules in apache conf and run httpd -S is says it's already running a php module. I am using vhosts. I did start by trying to use/install suphp as I'm trying to replicate another server but when suphp engine is on I get a 500 error on .php pages. If I take out all my suphp from the apache conf, it trys to download the .php file rather than running it. What's the best log file to trouble shoot this?? Thanks in advance, Mark.

Help with sendmail ( or Iptables ... or DNS)

Hi, i have a CentOS 4.4 running sendmail, with two network interfaces (eth0 -> Internet , and eth1 Local Network), from the terminal (SSH) i do telnet 127.0.0.1 25 and it connects to sendmail (i think so), but from another server (external, and so from the same SSH terminal) i try to connect to the Internet IP telnet 146.77.220.236 25 Trying 146.77.220.236... telnet: connect to address 164.77.228.236: Connection refused telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused so i was thinking "it could be the fu...ing IPTABLES" from terminal execute iptables -L| grep smtp and the result is: ACCEPT tcp -- anywhere anywhere tcp dpt:smtp so , if the sendmail service is up, what could be happen??

lowmem_reserve_ratio?

I have moved from the CentOS 4.4 kernel to a 2.6.16.29 kernel.org kernel due to some vm problems I was having. All has gone well except that my free memory now sits at 150MB. It does not like to go above or below that. Basically, 150MB of the system's memory is wasted. Andi Kleen suggested that I try tuning /proc/sys/vm/lowmem_reserve_ratio. The problem is that lowmem_reserve_ratio appears to be undocumented. Does anyone here happen to know how it works? The most I've been able to gather is that it sets the ratio of dirty to free pages for each of the memory zones. The default on this server is: 256 256 32 Increasing the third number of seems to help, but I would really like to understand what it is that I am doing. Thanks for any assistance, Steve Bergman

HTTP authentication/authorisation for Apache & AD.

I am looking into the best way to integrate active directory user authentication and authorisation in to Apache. So far I have a working LDAP solution that requires the username/password to be entered and a Kerberos setup that is transparent to the user but with no authorisation. Searching the net seems to only find commercial offerings which offer true password less integration between AD & Apache. Is there a open source or inexpensive way to achieve what I want? Resolved. Wow I can't believe it, I spent hours on that! I think the fact that the default site used the first virtual host was spinning me out. I've rebooted the server and also added another vhost and all is good. The second vhost is fine.
