Supermicro X6DH8-G2+ / sensors not working

Hello, I'm having problems with lm_sensors on the motherboard Supermicro X6DH8-G2+ sensors-detect gives me the output attached in the textfile sensors-detect-output.txt As soon as I execute the recommended 'modprobe smbus-arp' I receive the following message: FATAL: Module smbus_arp not found. When I execute sensors, I receive the following: ====================================================== [root@matrix ~]# sensors eeprom-i2c-0-57 Adapter: SMBus I801 adapter at 1100 Unknown EEPROM type (8) eeprom-i2c-0-53 Adapter: SMBus I801 adapter at 1100 Unknown EEPROM type (8) ====================================================== I also attached sensors.conf from /etc for reference. I'm using xen-3.0.2 with kernel 2.6.16 and all Hardware Monitoring and i2c stuff compiled as modules (as being done in the standard kernel). My distribution is CentOS-4.4 hence my sensors version is 'lm_sensors-2.8.7-2.40.3' sensors doesn't run either with the non-xen kernel, i.e. the stock kernel that came with CentOS-4.4: kernel-2.6.9-42.0.2.EL Is there any way to get sensors running on this mainboard? You need to have i2c and lm_sensors installed before running this program. Also, you need to be `root', or at least have access to the /dev/i2c-* files, for most things. If you have patched your kernel and have some drivers built in, you can safely answer NO if asked to load some modules. In this case, things may seem a bit confusing, but they will still work. It is generally safe and recommended to accept the default answers to all questions, unless you know what you're doing. We can start with probing for (PCI) I2C or SMBus adapters. Tesseract OCR enginer

Has anyone here tried the new Tesseract OCR engine that google has recently released? I gave it a whirl last night. IT compiles more or less fine on Centos 4.4 if you don't mind lots of warnings. Took a scanned image I already had that contained a column of newspaper text, GIMP'ed it to cut everything but the text, increased contrast to get rid of grayish background, saved as uncompressed tiff. Fired up tesseract and it is STILL running, around ten hours later, consuming 90% of the CPU. This doesn't seem right... Hi all, Helping a friend setup a new machine - it will be a low volume web and mail server. He wants to set it up with 2 drives in a mirror setup. The motherboard he bought supports mirroring on the hardware level. I have heard of issues before using hardware raid on Linux systems. Which way would you recommend we go on this? Peace, I have messages like (on a centos 3.8 box) NET: 21 messages suppressed. martian source 10.255.255.255 from 10.0.0.138, on dev eth0 on my screen. In the same time it is being logged to a file. Are there any way to stop the logging of these messages on the console and still logged to a file (/var/log/messages) Thank you. Hameed

Changing system users pass via webmin

Hi List, I need my users to change their passwords, so I defined them as webmin users and gived them access only to the system/change password option to do so. So far so good... they changed their system passwords (in order to access email) but the change it's not reflected in samba passwords. I defined the option change password in other modules in webmin but it doesn't works, I also have in the smb.conf "unix password sync = yes" but the same. I will appreciate if somebody can give me an idea about how to ride this, or maybe using another app? o_0 Thanks in advance. --Ivan.

Does anyone know which command will show me attachment of eml file as output and decode that ?
