Anaconda Exception when installing Centos SPARC

I'm installing CentOS SPARC but when i think everything goes fine and finish choosing the packages i want to install i get an ANACONDA EXCEPTION: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 1176 in intf.run (id, dispatch, configFileData) File "/local/builder/tmp/anaconda-10.1.1.25 //usr /lib/anaconda/text.py", line 510, in run Then the installation aborts. Does somebody know what could i do?, so i can continue with the installation. Thanks. --------------------------------- Love cheap thrills? bind problem

I have bind running on two servers. Both servers are running bind-9.2.4-7. When I update a zone file on the primary and reload bind, the secondary receives a notify, but does not initiate an AXFR. The only way I can get the secondary to update is to delete the zone file on the secondary and restart named. Any ideas what might be wrong? Mike

Updating Squirrelmail-i18n dependency

Because of a folder display problem caused by certain character encodings used in some email headers we had previously updated to squirrelmail-1.4.6-1 and installed squirrelmail-i18n-1.4.6-1 to cope. Yum is now trying to update our installation with the latest offical Centos release but there does not seem to be a corresponding squirrelmail-i18n rpm available in any of the repositories which is causing the following dependency check failure. Is it possible/desireable to override this or should we simply continue with what we have? Or is it possible to get a Centos specific squirrelmail-i18n rpm built? Centos4.3 hangs on install

Hi guys, im installing centos4.3 on my PIII with 2x70GB SCSI disk. when its on the part where it loads the scsi driver, hangs and a display saying disabling irq11. any suggestions ? tnx --------------------------------- Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Make PC-to-Phone Calls using Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.

Best way to install on Reiserfs?

Hello, how can install my CentOS 4.3 under Reiserfs from install? (clean install) I have to download the kernel from centosplus and integrate to my dvd and mofidy some things on anaconda or something? I hace already googled about this but some answers are too crazy than I'm get scared! I was thinking something like this: Format my S-ATA with other distro who support Resiserfs and when the install finish reboot and chroot to my particion and install the kernel from centosplus??? (I'm crazy?, this maybe work?) Thanks for you help on this issue. Jorge Garcia

Can't Access Samba Running Linux Box From XP

Hi All, I've just installed Samba on a Linux box, and can see the Windows box attempting connections, but, when inputting the username/password, I keep getting the same user/pass prompt window. What should I troubleshoot for this? I gave the user/pass that is the same as the account on the Linux box, which has permissions to view the shared directory in /etc/samba/smb.conf. Cheers. Kernel RPM

Hi All, I have posted same subject before also . i got suggestions . It worked also . I using source code of kernel 2.6.9( ie is in tar format) which is applied all the patches . I tried to make the rpm of kernel out of this but it's not creating initrd.img .Without this system is not booting . Is there any way do this ...? Thanks in advance Regards juliet
