time stray on the latest centos release: 2.6.9-11.EL

Hi, The clock on my laptop seems to be straying dramatically from the real time even if I turn off ntpd. Could it be the clock applet itself? After I run rdate with ntpd off, it starts to stray right away. This started in the last two weeks after doing many updates. Has anyone else seen this, or even fixed it? Thanks in advance, Blair.

Distribution update and centosplus

Hi, number of RPMs in CentosPlus 4.4 is increasing slowly, but is increasing. Although it is mentioned in CentosPlus readme.txt: exclusions, release within a few days, etc. I think that Centos update should have to be released together with CentosPlus. Update would be much more simpler, easier, and transparent. David Hrbáč

iptables-devel in centos 4.4

Hi, I'd like to ask if iptables-devel package is going to be patched by CentOS team to include all header files. Upstream provider still seems to ignore this bug, even it was fixed in FC5. We need to fix it to simplify automatic build of iptables/kernel modules. Thanks, David Hrbac

yum update behavior plugin

hi guys, anyone fancy a shot at writing a yum plugin that would change the yum update behavior a bit. what I'd like to end up with is that if in a yum update process, there is an update to yum itself - that yum update should run first, once done, yum should then restart and run through the rest of yum update. - K -- Karanbir Singh : http://www.karan.org/ : 2522219@icq

Missing yumgroups.xml from extras in 4.4

tc is not compiled to support htb

Hi, I have created ticket http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=1476 After upgrade to 4.4, tc is not working with htb anymore. Probably tc is not compiled with htb support. iproute-2.6.9-3.EL4.3: Error: Qdisc "htb" is classless. Unknown filter "fw", hence option "flowid" is unparsable iproute-2.6.9-3: works fine workaround: use /sbin/tc from old package Regards, David Hrbáč

I've personally never heard about this before, but it sounds interesting. The first question that comes to mind is - how many user end download clients support this format ? And, if we are to publish these, we'd need some means to generate them automatically, perhaps a hook into the mirror-monitor scripts. But thats a future issue.
