Interested in IA64 build.

I noticed on the SIG that people interested in other ports of interest. I'd like to express interest in the IA64 port. What is the best way to get started? I have two SGI Itanium 2 based machines. One 64 processor x 64GB SGI Altix and a 32 processor x 32GB RAM SGI Prism. They are currently running CentOS 4.8 and I would love to be able to run CentOS 5.5 on them to get them into compliance with the rest of the cluster. -- James A. LibreOffice for CentOS-6 Test and Feedback

hi guys, NuxRo has offered to maintain a LibreOffice rpm set for CentOS-6-Extras; A test build is now available at http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/testing/ Feedback at http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=5117 or here on the list. Remember that these rpms wont move into the main CentOS repos till such time as there is significant feedback about, it works. And little or no feedback saying its broken. As this is also the first rpm into the c6/testing repo, feedback is also welcome about how we can improve the process. Regards, - KB

Karanbir Singh recently mentioned on #pulp, that if there is something that could be done to help to integrate CentOS better into pulp, this should be brought up to the CentOS developers. (If I understood his comment correctly....) So this is imho something that could be brought up on the centos-devel list, or on the more appropriate one, if that doesn't fit there. Regarding the Xen Headers for centOS 6.0 (32-bit)

Hi Everyone, I installed CentOS 6.0 as VM on XenServer 6.0, but it seems that the CentOS 6.0 does not contain xen headers. Where should I get those headers. Some how I got 64-bit CentOS 6.0 Xen headers, and if I use in CentOS 6.0 32-bit OS, what are the complications. How can we rewrite the 64-bit headers to 32-bit headers. Help in this regard is highly appreciated. Thanks, Ramana.

Is there a place where I can find 6.x centosplus kernels updated with cr kernel releases? I can rebuild them but maybe they are already available somewhere.

CR 6 repo question

hi, what happens when RHEL 6.2 is out before CentOS 6.1, will CR 6 contain updates from 6.2 even though CentOS 6.1 is not released ? looks like there are still some major showstoppers which prevent CentOS 6.1 release. regards, ulrich

moving the CR repo into mainstream release

hi guys, We are still in the early days of CentOS-6, and perhaps a change in policy at this time might be acceptable. I'd like to propose moving the CR repo into the mainline repos. So the change I'm proposing is : - to have a /6/ release that is always updated. - to have the /6.X/ releases that are contained to within that point release what this means is that /6/ will point at the most recent release of 6.X/ for the os/ & isos/ repo. The other repos would be local to the /6/ symlink, and will be always updated ( and stay that way ). there is going to be quite a lot of implications backend / mirror side that we will need to work out, but its effort + pain as a one off, for what can be a major improvement in the user experience. thoughts ? - KB
