Dracut hooks question (growroot)

Hi, Been trying like mad to find a way to resize the partition of a EL7 VM template from the initramfs (basically run fdisk on /dev/vda) as I did for EL6, but with the new systemd+dracut it seems like either I find the disks in a nonexistent state or they are already in use. I think I went through all relevant hooks; pre-mount is a lie, at that stage the disk is seemingly already in use. :) Does anyone have a tip how to go about this? [PATCH] A few more SCL related changes

From: Pat Riehecky <riehecky(a)fnal.gov> rpmbuild fails to parse specfiles that have the SCL macros in them when the basic macros are not defined. I didn't really see a way around forcing them into place when needed. Check out any of the SCL 1.1 repos and try return_disttag.sh without scl-utils-build installed, it is unable to extract the dist tag as RPM things the spec is not correctly setup. I'm trying to get involved with the 32bit Centos 7 build. I saw some talk of it back in January, but haven't been able to find anything since. Does anyone have any thoughts as to where I can start / how I can help? Thanks, -Brad

Alternative Desktop SIG

Hi, I don't know what the status of the Desktop SIG is but I would like to build i3wm packages for c7. Not sure where this would belong to. extra's or a SIG? Are there procedures on how to build these packages somwhere and get them added to a repository? Regards, Vincent

Overlap between EPEL and CentOS ( non upstream pkgs )

hi, We are going to need to find a way to address content in CentOS ( or well, content in EPEL ) where there are packages in centos that didnt come from rhel but are going to overlap with whats in EPEL. Technically, this is a centos.org issue since EPEL's mandate requires them to not overlap with RHEL[1]. But with stuff going into CentOS-Extras/ and more content coming onboard from SIG's - and even from Core SIG - how are we going to address the overlap / flapping potential with EPEL ? Request to create a new CentOS based project - FireServer

Dear Sir. I'm starting a project (actually I'm reactivating) that builds upon CentOS: The FireServer Project - www.fireserver.com.br All information about the project and reasons led me to create it, are in http://opensource.com/life/14/6/fireserver-project. The old distribution was based on RedHat and now I'm using CentOS 6.5 as a minimal base construction. I already have my methods and ways to create the distribution, but I think I can improve a lot in the following areas: -Better tools to building distribution -Tools for version control -Support from experts in CentOS to fine tunning with Firebird Database -More availability to download FireServer ISO via mirrors -Creation of cloud images for AWS, Rackspace and others What do you think of helping me to select the best fit the FireServer on CentOS? I'd be happy to help spread the CentOS too. I like the RedHat and CentOS distros (I'm using CentOS in my notebook since version 5.x) I await the feedback of the team.
